    blew two tyres on the VR so I am going to be out for a while as I want new wheels! It may be off the road now until next year when I have finished playing with it....

    WHAT A WEEKEND! Absolutely whacked!!!! VR blew two tyres before I even set off so the Daily came out instead Started well with the Parade of Power in the town centre Friday night followed by beer and more beer and party tents. Saturday was lost when we found broken Rocker studs in the Cortina heads.. This meant I drew the ONLY straw lol to go back to Portsmouth to get some more.. 6 hours later I returned but too late to get it on the track Still got plenty of beer and tents again and Lock stock was on! was a good wind down lol.. Sunday started well with a 10.1 sec N/A new PB for Ron in the

    Fixed but I did not do anything lol Took off interior trim, could not get off the door card as the door was shut, removed innner window seal and had a peep, tried the door a few times to see how it worked and then opened! Cinderella is going to the ball after all lol Romsey tomorrow here I come!

    any ideas on getting my door open that has busted internal mech? Door locks and unlocks but handles dont work.. HELP

    Today I got in the golf and took it for a spin to get fuel. Got fuel and when I got home the drivers door would not open but the passenger one does. I alarmed and unalarmed but the door still did not open so I had to get out the passenger side! The door will not open from the outside or the inside HEEELLPPPP! Just me or has anybody else had this.. Bit of bad timing seeing as I am looking to sell... KARMA! Possible mechanism broke, doubt its electrical.... Thanks Rusty

    im doing all 3! i will be in the pits with my mate ron crewing for this! 9.5 V8 Cortina Estate hopefully going to be pushing 1300 bhp+ with the nitrous Come see us Hopefully getting some good practice in for the national finals the following weekend

    i believe the ECU retards the timing for you up to a certain amount of FI? Is this correct?

    i will be running a wet nitrous kit on mine, favouring reports that a standard car can take shots of 100+ I think the americans have this area sussed and its well worth looking at Nitrous VR6 queries on google!

    best be quick, bought mine for 250 2 years ago but they are a lot more now. VR into a Scirocco Mk1 has been done by the founder of Sciroccoregisterforum.co.uk Its tight but it goes!

    Latest is that the car is running but a little adjustment required.. Engine bay pics latest is... Wheels are spaced 16mm each side at the front and 25mm each side at the back! And they are still TUCKED! Link to album on first post

    we have a get together up portsdown hill in pompey every once in a while, there is also a vag meet with Dubscene every 4th thursday of the month i believe.. not bad turn outs www.dubscene.net for details.
