  1. Surly some one has found it?
  2. I've never heard of this but one of my friends had a mk4 turbo and is about to fit an Audi TT/ R32 rack. They say it handles better and there's less turns from lock to lock. I wonder if the two racks you have found handle or work in different ways. I also wonder if a TT rack could go on a mk3?
  3. Ok I need to get the scanner working first. My car's a 95 so I spose they had to keep them updated. It's in the seatbelt section, it looks like the passenger in the back is eating the driver's head.
  4. Golf VR6 1995 (obd1) recent new tires purple FSH, all MOT's, tax till july 100,000 miles Wanna swap?
  5. Hey where abouts in London will it be? And a serious piece of advice.....a good tea and coffee machine in a waiting area is a must have! Everyone has the cheap muck now days.
  6. Attention all mk3 golf owners!! Take out your car's instruction book and turn to page 14 and look a picture B1H-160. You may say I'm warped but I think it's wee your pants funny!
  7. I'm in south-east london, walworth. I'm always up at this hour, I own a restaurant that closes at 11 and I always stay up till 5 or 6. Don't know why!
  8. Will have a look, thanks. I've just found my paint code, LC5L - bruised cock purple.
  9. Don't say that, they might come back for more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. No there's no grill on the car so some one decided to open the bonnet by taking out the bolts. Next thing I know the bonnets opened at 70mph onto the windscreen. But they didn't take anything!! Just took out three bolts!!
  11. Thanks people but I just run into another problem......http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?287317
  12. No farts come from the rear end. Sorry couldn't resist!
  13. Hey all, Recently I had problems with my bonnet cable and a helpful person pointed me to a good thread on how to open the bonnet. Thanks by the way, my car was desperate for water. Once I'd sorted the cable I started shopping for grills as I'd pulled mine off in a frenzy and broke it. Yesterday my friend calls me looking for help with his car and on the way there I was blown away when my bonnet acted like an RAF ejecter seat and smashed my windscreen. This morning I found the bolts on the road where my car was parked neatly lined up on the floor. Now need a bonnet and windscreen, why do peo
  14. The reason i ask is because my rad has a hole. A new one is too much money for me right now. What I was thinking is if people can add high pressure and not change the system greatly why can't I find a substitute even if it's slightly smaller?
  15. Hey all, When you add turbos and super chargers what do you do with the cooling system? What kind of rad do you all use? And how about mk1 and mk2 conversions? What rads are used?
  16. Another way to change oil is with a hand pump with a tube that goes down the dipstick hole. Many people will say they don't pick up the gunk but that's only because they didn't have the oil hot enough. There not cheap but it's easy and fast.
  17. don't mean to sound daft' date=' ive come from the carb mini world so im still gettin to grips with ECU's. What is the difference between a re-map and having it chipped ? [/quote'] I miss putting oil in the old SU carbs, never forget that smell. I would do anything to get my mini back then drop the VR6 lump in in!!!!
  18. One of my rear windows does that but I must be honest, I just stopped opening that window! Will sort it when I get time and my sunroof doesn't open as well.
  19. Yes it gives the fault as a basic codes then you can look up the code on Ross-wiki. I have VAG-COM but my laptop is too bulky to carry around. I need to make sure it's charged then walk down the road with it and hope the battery holds charge.
  20. http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_GDVAG.html It just gives the fault code but I just want something smaller than a laptop.
  21. I want to buy a fault code reader as it's a pain in the rear taking my laptop out everytime. All the code readers on the market with obd2 sockets say there for 96 and after. Will they still work?
  22. There is a way around every ECU. Superchips have the VR6 listed on there website but I'm not sure how they do it. How many people have you tried?
  23. How about KY jelly? If it doesn't work the car will cut through the wind nicely
  24. Mines a 95 and everything is obd1 but the socket for diagnostics is obd2
