My VR6 has just got the dreaded marbles in a buscuit-tin clatter. I haven't been driving the car as it's pretty loud and sounds terminal. Having read posts on the suject, I think it could be the upper chain tensioner. I don't have the skills to start stripping the VR6 so I am looking for someone in central Scotland who could do the work. It's a 1995 Golf III VR6 Highline, 92k miles, OBD1 engine. Any recommendations?
