Hi Had a slight problem with the car rear cluster the other day, basically lighting up light a disco with all sides lighting up. Finally fixed that, and during the procedure of fixing it my stereo sub and headunit begain to play up. after all my tests on the car left/ right indicator working brakes working fine i try to stat it and it doesnt even do anything when i turn the key, the cd/player and amp doesnt even come on too. Help ? Im located in South Yorkshire if anyone could come help me sort it out or know of any aut electricians .. what should i check!

Okay so i plugged it in and its making a sort of ticking noise while the engine is running and when the engine is off. I noticed it when the engine was off obviously and traced it right to the aux pump. Is it supposed to make this noise ? cheers -

na its not, i sprayed it and no cracks or electric archin, its fine, im thinkin its the maf sensor again, i got my last one from gsf i could sware it was a re conditioned one because i took it out of the packaging and it was dusty!!!! i think ive had this one for about 5k pulled the plug out to the maf sensor and the rough idle dissapeared and the car drove fine, im going to get them to swap it or i want a refund if not!!!! its a bosch and theyre apparently unreliable!

few days ago i realised it was running a little rough and souded like a lawn mower when i put the foot down, has anyone experienced this and offer me a solution? i replaced the MAF sensor in may so thats fine. i removed all plug ht leads and found all but one to be fine, number 5 had a ring of oil residue on the inside of it. but like i said it was fine last week and now it isnt :S any clues? oh and it seems to do it when the engine warms up. but its fine on cold

Audio question for graham if your still on this forum?
luke832 replied to luke832's topic in General Chat
sorry when i added the link to the website it doesnt come up with them. These leads cant i just attatch these to the amp wires that are behind my glove box, the amp wires dont reach the back of the head unit anyway so id need extendable leads anyway? will these distort? any top quality ones anyone would advise me on getting? -

http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/accessories/amplifier-fitting-accessories/rca-splitter-lead-(2-female-to-1-male) cant i just connect the amp wires to these and fit them into the back of the h/u ???? -
Hi I dont know if your still on here, but just thought id try and find you, i bought a highline from you a year back. I have a question about the sound system, my kenwood cd player has just packed in on me it was a temporary headunit until i got another, but if you can remember when you fitted it, it had 4 extendable outputs at the back for the subwoofer wiring in the boot. I;ve just gone an got a sony cdx gt444u and it only has 2 rca output. ive been told i need splitters, but this would apparently distort the sound system and limit me to bass control and fader??? Anyway i pulled out the old

Its worth a try but i had the same sounding problem as your describing, seems to tick over fine but when the car gets warmer it gets worse! .... Mine was the maf sensor, ive had two mk3s in the past 5 years a gti 8v anniversary and now i have a vr6 highline had to change them on both. and recently changed the maf sensor on the vr6, cost me 60 for the part and runs fine now!
