Check your injectors are getting power-I'm having exactly the same problem, and I cant vag-com it so if you find out what the problem is, it would be good if you could tell me as well haha

Em to mod the mk2 one, presuming its a mk3 donor car, you have to swap the clutch pedal from the vr onto the mk2 pedal box (bit fiddly but easy enough). Then you have to extend the runner for the spring, and also get a longer spring (B&Q). Hope iv explained it ok-its easy to see when you do it. The hardest part is getting the pedal to come back down, hence needing the bigger spring

Cutting the hole in the bulkhead is easy, just put in the pedal box, mark it, and drill away. The actual cylinder is quite flexible on the piston rod so it allow for some amount of error. You would need a raddo pedal box I believe to make it easier, but I just did a bit of modification to the mk2 pedal box and it works fine.

Sorry mate, just cut back everything from the fans to fit the mk2 as i cant afford/find corrado setup

Thought it may be the fuel not getting enough pressure though OEM?
-
Meant to say, the injectors are getting power (pulsing). Yes, the engine was in a running, '97 donor car
-
Yeah, the cylinders are defonatly not getting fuel, although the fuel rail is. Em yeah, the connections are look fine, and its getting a spark so i think that means its ok? Might try putting on a vr fuel pump from my donor car tonight, see if that makes a difference

Done a bit more digging last night, think its the injectors not getting power some how. They are working manually and when we put a little petrol into a cylinder, it started coughing. Dunno why thet arent working but will have another look tonight.

Right, got it turning over (bad earth) but now it isnt starting. There is spark, sh*t loads of fuel, and loads of power in the battery. Thought it was maybe needing back pressure from the downpipe so we bolted that up but still no joy. Its me and my mate building it and we are only 16 so any help is much appreciated

Thanks guys-the funny thing is neither of us will be able to drive it once its finished haha. We are both learning on it aswell. Took the plugs out and the arent wet at all, and also every one of them is giving a good spark. Any ideas folks?

Lambda and maf both plugged in and working. The timing is perfect as it was running before we took it out. I think it may be flooded but we did try starting it with the throttle fully open. I think we will take the plugs out again and let the cylinders get some air

Hi guys. Its wiring so i'll try keep it short and sweet. Got the vr bolted into the car yesterday and started the wiring. Tried to turn it over to day and nothing, but the solinoid is getting power because we can hear it clicking away. We took the starter off and tested it with the battery and it works fine. Im a bit concerned as we cut some of the wiring away, which we thought wasnt needed, but we think my be now. Any help guys? Thanks

Ok Doke, i will need to look out for a 'rado radiator then. Im kinda gutted because the rad is near perfect due to the fact the aircon element took most of the abuse but awell, needsmust. Thanks for the advice
