    Hello there, Recently replaced scorpion full system (incl decat), for a standard system due to bad fitment and lack of cat(MOT time), got hold of a 6 month old standard exhaust and cat. Keeps breaking rubbers, and is now blowing from the downpipe, have been to kwik fit with it and had it up on a ramp, rubbers replaced again, still blowing. Its doing my bloody head in, I am going to go stainless again in a few months anyway (prob get a custom jobby). Does anyone else have any issues with the standard exhaust have issues? Im bored of it.

    Hello there, spoke to someone today about suspension whilst having new exhaust fitted, and he mentioned that r32 suspension goes on the mk3 golf with no problems? I have a mate who smashed up an r32 a while back and has bought it back and breakiung it for spares. Is this true? Personally I cant see this working as the r32 is far newer and presumably more advanced. Any ideas?

    hello all, currently away with some friends in Hastings for a week, hit a pot hole grr and my front left shock is totalled, been meaning to replace shocks and springs for a while, is anyone on here aware of any places nearby who would supply and fit? Much appreciated. Martin

    hello there, time to make it quicker!!! Having had cars with higher lift cams in the past and knowing what a difference they make, I think it may be time to do mine. Seen a few deals on 268 cams, will I need head work to accomodate this? Anyone running 268 cams on here? What difference is there?

    Hello, got some spare cash now so time to sort the suspension out. At the minute its lowered about 80mm on cheap shocks and ultra stiff springs (not my choice was like it when I bought it). What is the best combo for daily use, I have a set of 16s to go on it as well and I dont want any rubbage. Standard shocks and a set of springs any good, or shoulc I go the coilover route?

    cheers all, will have a look online, need to replace brake hoses anyway so will be doing a fluid change then as I am not sure when it was done last as I have only had the car a few months, Cheers all

    Running standard braking set up on my 94 vr6. Brakes are ok, but tend to fade down lanes etc, anyone recommend a good combo of pads and discs, or should I just go for a bigger caliper and disk conversion?

    Hello there, Recently had head gasket removed and replaced and the head rebuilt (valve seals etc). On receiving the car back it seems to have developed a slight splutter and ever so slightly erratic idling, its no different if engine is cold or warm, and the car pulls really well through all the gears (although can sometimes feel as if it wants to rev quicker slightly). Plugs are ok, leads are brand new, any suggestions, going to clean idle valve over the weekend, any other suggestions. On another note it has a decat exhaust, some people have suggested this could cause a problem (although i

    splits will have to wait a year or so (got to do head gasket now), a set of 16" Lenso BSX 16s have come up with 195/45s on, ET25 offset. Will these be ok?

    hello all, currently have standard BBS rims on my VR6, its currently lowered around 65mm (not my choice), I have ordered some new shocks and springs for it (around 25mm drop, plus uprated topmounts, so around 35mm in total), will 16s be ok without rubbing? Going to go for a set of splits, gloss black with polished outer. Should look good. Anyone any hassles running this setup, the car is my daily driver;. Cheers Martin

    Hello all, does anyone know if there are any difference in the exhaust systems for the OBD1 and OBD2 engines on the VR? Reason for asking is that I plan to swap my stainless system and decat for a standard catted exhaust for MOT purposes, standard system is from OBD2, mine is OBD1 Any advice greatly appreciated.     hello all. Quick question. Does the mk3 vr have a lights on buzzer warning as standard, if so where is the relay/buzzer located as mine doesnt seem to work and i keep walking off with my lights on grrrrrr. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello there, my first post so be gentle. Had my L plate vr6 for six months now (my first one, always been a vauxhall man, boo hiss I hear them say, had a couple of big engined nova's etc). Anyway. Have noticed an occasiona puff of smoke sometimes, sometimes its on overrun, overtimes if I nail it for the first time when its warmed up. Personally I suspect valve stem oil seals as I have had this go on cars in the past, I dont believe its rings as its not smoking all the time. Also tappets are a little rattly on start up (although going to do an oil change tomorrow which should help as the o
