I would be tempted to get another renault 5 GT, except I dont realy have the tine on the weekends to fix one anymore, so I would go for a 200sx or a bmw e30 somthing abit drifty

wheel bearing torque setting

This is the second one iv done in 2 weeks, it failed so i can only imagine its something iv done wrong, although iv never had problems before. I also normally go for the tighten it up then undo it a bit. but this time im going to do it by the book Cheers for the settings! -
Does anyone know the correct torque setting for a wheels bearing on a raddo vr6?

Does any body know how and where the vr6 takes its reading and sends it to the clocks for RPM? I'm guessing it might be of the alternator? but does anyone know how it sends the signal? is it pulses or different amounts of voltage translated into the Analog dial or? and help on this would be great! Cheers

i have heard mk 4's are nearly inpossible to do. however i have heard of people pooting them in there oven one a lowish head for a while. might be worth looking into. I did my corrado lights but they came apart realy nice! just clips holding them on

yeh thats what im thinking, but rather then a pipe make a taperd box (more narrow towards the end), just wanted to see how others had done it.

I'm looking into making a short runner, trying to find a thread with someone who made one, i saw one a while ago, been trying to find it for ages but cant. anyone able to shed some light on this?

I went banger racing yesterday, did it for some prostate cancer charity, was pretty good, came 5th in the first race which was carnage really, and 2nd in the second race, I'v got a few photos and videos and stuff il get them up later! was a good day though, well recommend doing it!

Right, im at work and looking to buy what i need to remove the large box from my exhaust, do I just need a strait joining pipe? Does it need a bend in it? I can have a look tonight if no one knows and order it tomorrow but I thought Id ask

cheers guys, done a few more bits n' bobs. painted the inside of my headlights black leaving the reflective parts. Just made them abit darker looking, Fitted a new cone filter, polished my intake manifold and painted my engine cover. Manifold didn’t take too long, about 3 hours and im happy with it, has a nice mirror finish and the cone filter sounds amazing! couple of photos..

its abit far fetched, but my old renault 5 GT turbo used to do this when the oil catch tank was abit on the full side, the sudden change in pressure would cause the oil to sort of go back, as soon as i emptied the tank it would be fine again. its probly not this but an idea -

I'v got a vr corrado, o i am assuming the obd1 golf will be the same. On the elbow just before the throttle body you have 2 pipes, one coming into the pipe on the inside of the bend in the middle ( oil breather?? ) and another one on the opposite side, is that a breather as well? assuming it is, am i able to replace the rubber elbow with a alloy one and just run piper cross style oil breather filters on the pipes taken of?

yeh you would want to go smaller then that for good stretch
