Seems to be an annual update thing here. However this is the last for the mk4. The tax ran out earlier than i though so now it needs testing ( basically SVA test ) before it can be re-taxed. Due to the time it had been sat i didnt fancy all that bollocks (theyre really stringent) so its the end of the road for the 4mo, the few shiney parts were sold off and now im left with a sad looking standard car. Ideal donor for a mk2 project Seeing as the nissan is done bar some extra tuning work & mapping and summer is coming i want a cool fast vw, the mk5 is all of these but isnt the same if you g

I looked into this when my 2.8 jacked up, mk4 is plug & play, you can even use the 4mo loom (BDE) and ecu with a reflash (according to c2) Mk5 needs a mk4 r32 loom and ecu with a reflash as far as i can remember.

It's here!!!!

After being sat for nearly 2 years with oily goo in them my hoses have gone floppy and expanded. So was thinking of getting some silicone hoses but can't seem to find any 4mo specific ones. Does anywhere do them or will the r32 kits fit my BDE?

Well, 6 months of nothing... Been a combination of poor weather and a busy, fun filled summer. However me and a couple of mates are signing the lease on a big workshop in the next few days. Then its on the trailer and into the garage. I now have a nasty mk3 gti daily so i think i'll do the 4mo properly, been toying with going forced induction (again) and considering taking it apart for some proper TLC as its been sat for nearly 2 years.... But who knows, it seems i cant keep to a plan so anything could happen. But nice wheels, good fitment and a nice exhaust are a dead cert.

yeah, just the roller bearing T28 over the standard journal bearing one so straight in. Car was only £1k so its had a few bob in shineys thrown at it :/ -
Well i spent the money i saved for sticking a new engine in the 4mo on insuring this again, then the next lot on some new wheels :$ Started with this. The bumper made children cry... so standard! Some cheap rota's and ohlins shocks with -30mm springs First drift day Destroyed some tyres Put it on its ass 2nd drift day Some 80mph 3rd gear skids on stock power round the big top corner Got the black and scabby bits resprayed New turbo good for 320hp with the right mods (sat at 280 now) How it looks right now. Its cost me a daft amount (£6k inc purchase) for a 2nd car, and an 18

There was a thread on Golf Gti forum a couple of years ago where a bloke made a 4wd vr turbo caddy with a holset hx40 hanging off it... loved it! infact here it is, not sure if he finished it as i CBA reading through it.. http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=107206.0

No it wasnt smoking just started making drity brown mayo sludge in the water & getting water in the sump. I If he has a sub 90/95k mile BDE engine in for a good price i could well be interested, even better if it is up manchester way as i can get good rates on TNT from most NW postcodes

I had a similar thing where i got oil in my water and water in my oil, found some broken down o rings and have replaced them, its nearly done. Needs some other o rings before i get a run but its been sat with oil in the water system for 18 months now and im not sure i could trust the engine (has the oil eaten any more rubber o rings or seals??)... Im on the look for another engine just to get it back on the road then ill probably rebuild this engine with my ultimate goal of forced induction in mind
