is this the standard compression ratio 10.0:1? and standard bore size 82mm?? what over size can i get without bore the barrel??

hi all iv got a obd1 vr6 fitted to my mk2 golf, the engine has 140k on the clocks but around 5k ag she started losing power and didnt pull or rev like it normal did and has started smoking, could the rings and pistond on there way out? what would be the best thing to do buy another engine or rebuild my currnt one

hi all i have a mk2 vr6 unsure of engine year, all i no is that it has a square box where the ht leads plug into (transformer), its been running fine for a wile but one day it cut out and wouldn't start or spark at all, so i relapsed the transformer and it ran fine again but the same has happend today and it wont spark again so befor i order a genuine vag item this time dose anyone no what els could be wrong?? is my vr6 engine a obd1 or 11 ow and it turns over fine, fuel pump primes and there is plenty of pressure
