pls help ive got a brand new battery on my car and it went flat changed the alternator and all seemd fine then it did it again so i put another alternator on and all was fine as it was charging the battery its been on the car for bout 4 days now and seems to have stoped charging the battery again as it was almost flat on all occations just be for the battery went flat car was missfireing and running realy rough wat is causing the prob any ideas.

it turned out the ecu for the gear box was faulty so i got another one and its been fine till the other day when it wouldnt select any gears after leaving it for a wile i tryed it again and it worked for a wile but then couldnt decide which gear it wanted to be in if any pls help

spoke to vw today thay said thay will put on diagnostic and if the key needs re codeing it will cost about £70

ive replaced the ring chip and box from a car that was working fine but still does the same

if i was to get another ecu with the same part number and plug it in will this solve my problem

hi i have a n reg golf cabrio vr6 was running fine the other day now it wont start turns over starts then cuts out after a few secs my scanner says its the immobiliser so i changed the box key reader and key with chip for that box but still does the same ifbi disconect the battery for 5 mins then connect it back up the car will start but if i turn it off then try to restart it wont again any help plz

hi i hope someone can help me i have a 98 vw sharan vr6 auto which has been running great but about a week ago the electro magnet at the bottom of the gear selector started clicking constently and as you rev it it clicks faster and also since this happend it seems to be stuck in what feels like 2nd or 3rd gear as it struggles to pull away i have changed ti switch at the cost of £50 from vw but it hasnt changed anything pls help
