  1. This process I should very much like to know every detail about !
  2. Perfect chance, and as its over texture paint anyway any mishaps with new equipment are forgiven lol
  3. lol nah i dont have the money spare to be doing up another car, wish i did. oh youve gone twin engine? 8-)
  4. if its set and rubbery and doesnt come off all on your finger if you swipe your finger down it then its stonechip and can over paint, if its not set and like tar its not over paintable
  5. you can get primer grey stone chip paint maybe that would be an option, you can also paint body colour over it of course
  6. Ive just got the rears done today and i couldnt find anything suitable locally so got the 2 sets of OEM nuts and bolts for the rear axle bushes, they are 10.9 hi tensile and the originals were a total SOB to remove. The front subframe ones i had a quick look and are 8.8 but couldnt even get the washers off the tops of them, and i cant take the subframe out so will have to cut the washers off and just fit some replacements
  7. This thread is making me want a corrado quite bad lol There's a dark blue K reg VR6 corrado with speedlines I pass all the time and it looks like it hasn't moved for ages, been tryin to find out who owns it and see if they want rid of it
  8. Well how much do you pay at the moment and what channel package do you get, weigh it up against sky hd with your channel packages? That's the only alternative isn't it
  9. Yes you need to take the bumper off, it's easy just a few bolts, the hardest part will be separating the sealer along the top edge Also if you have skirts they need to come off too
  10. these are the mk3 recaros
  11. yea the handles dont stick out like the super fugly normal tilt seats, they are very low profile, and as above make it way easy to tilt the passenger seat, which i have to do like everyday cos my little girl cant (or pretends that she cant!!) do it herself
  12. and on both sides of the seats
  13. In my view the only bits you need a pro to do is the colour and lacquer, even then lacquer not so much as you can flat back drips etc, but a pro doing these stages would leave you with a nicer finish and less finishing work to do afterwards, I would know as I've de nibbed a whole car by hand and with professional body shops equipment, the latter is better results in shorter time
  14. I already had sky hd without the sports or movies after virgin fcuked us about every single month on bills, so it's a free added channel for me,
  15. If you can do all the prep work yourself it will save you a fortune, the prep is where the labour is
  16. yes they are a bit expensive but yes they do their job very well, carbon fibre is a great heat insulator. The sound they make is worth the money in grins alone. Watch ebay like a hawk and youll pick on up cheap

    Glove Box

the hardest thing will be getting at the bolts, other than that its a take out and put in job
  18. just the light not illuminating could be as simple as the bulb in the switch is blown too
  19. coilovers wound up to the top would be very hard, they are right at the top and bottom, in the middle the harshness is reduced a little
  20. The back deal is a bugger to do, you have to make sure the mating face is clean otherwise it might not seal up properly, and there's very little space to do this. It is possible though, a spray can of isopropyl alcohol with a straw for accuracy helped me with mine

    fitting momo

    no they are separate circuits
  22. Yea thanks for that mate, I found the same difficulty and then had a couple of hours to kill yesterday waiting for kids to play in a wacky warehouse, gun to head stuff that is!! I also found the many different bolts etc and thought it not really fair to expect anyone to be able to get the exact spec, so not sure whether oem new bolts will suffice as they are high tensile and are obviously the exact spec, plus with polys they aren't likely to need to be off and on again for years and years
  23. so ive been looking through etka drawings and could anybody confirm these are the correct sizes and quantity of bolts to replace all the current old bolts for the chassis bushes? need 2x everything ?? Rear beam N 90354401 hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder M12X1,5X122 / N 90238503 shouldered hex. nut, self-locking M12X1,5 / Front wishbone outer bolt N 10127706 hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder M8X26 / wishbone front N 90484003 hexagonal head bolt M12X1,5X82 / wishbone rear N 10207803 hexagonal head bolt M12X1,5X78 / Subframe 4x ?? N 10246501 hexagon head bolt c/w shoulder M10X62 / Thanks
  24. I don't know myself was going to measure it but I'm assuming it's the thicker one one?
