  1. just soldered in an led from maplin labelled as 555nm wavelength and its pretty much bang on colour match and witha 430Ω resistor looks the same brightness too
  2. Cheers but I'vetried 565nm green and they were the quite yellow ones, I wish I wasn't so fussy then I'd have no problem lol
  3. The heater switch isn't so much of a problem a it's not in close proximity to any others and I've changed the heater dials to green neon wire anyway, it's the headlight switch being close to other switches that causes a noticeable change
  4. Yea I'm having issues matching them up, the ones I find are usually a bit too yellow green, I know the colour wavelength of the new bulbs so I'm going from there
  5. Nah I've had them in bits they use 3mm 12v LEDs and sometimes a combination of both
  6. Does anyone know if there is a part no for the little 12v LEDs like for the rear screen heater switch and the headlight switch, some don't work and trying to find some of the same shade of green is proving hard Cheers
  7. Disconnect the mag and see if it runs worse, if it runs better with the mag plugged in then it's doing it's job, a vagcom fault scan may point you in the right direction too
  8. I was messing around the fusebox today and took a pic of mine for you it looks different to yours anyway though
  9. fitted my comfort turn kit today I missed this feature since i got rid of my audi but forgot about it, then my gf got her A3 and i was reminded of this feature and how i liked it, so i found out that VW do an OEM retro fit kit
  10. Yea the buggers totally rust themselves out, if it's bad you would be best to weld them up, if the hole is still intact get some tiger seal and seal them up permanently. The rubber bung will prob be totally fine, it's the metal around them you want to check
  11. look underneath and check the floor bung
  12. very good, liking the wheels and the modded headlights
  13. ive had a look and on the camera it looks no different to the first pic, but IRL its noticeable
  14. Not yet I haven't been in the car in the dark yet
  15. i would double check your connections, it should seal
  16. Ah that looks like awesome fun
  17. if you did that youd need oil resistant hose. The system is designed to be a closed system though, ie the air in the crankcase is passed into the inlet with the stock PCV as it has already been accounted for by the MAF and ECU, so you could experience fuel mixture variance if you are venting this air out of the engine

    Petrol

you will prob see about 30 miles to a line on the gauge
  19. Just a small update, I got tired of the brightness of the LEDs in my dials so I've done what I said, put higher ohm resistors in to dull them down, i also sanded the plastic LED bulbs themselves, this has scattered the light brilliantly, before they were so brightly focused straight ahead where now they have a nice dull glow. For quite some time its annoyed me that the tint spray chips off the fog lights no matter what I did, like this; so I'm binning them in place of some low spec fog light blanks. I've sanded them flat and painted them just standard gloss black but I'm not really happy wit
  20. Nice mk2 and I usually prefer big bumpers. Whoever you get sumps off you're gonna be their best customer lol
  21. It was cheaper than that for proper fluid from the vw dealer, I got 1l for 6 quid
  22. That was the best bit, I can't believe he shopped me, I gave him gifts and money Haaaaaaahahaha
  23. they are just strong clips, lever the tabs with a screwdriver and pop them all off
