  1. If you could measure the tops of the arches and the front and rear of the sills that would be awesome mate :-)
  2. Yea i would think it would be a bit wallowy, I've got 17s though which would compensate for some drop too, my sump is unharmed and never touches even those little middle of the road bumps, my wishbones are parallel to the floor, I had to raise it up a bit cos a junction on my road is quite steep and I kept ripping the front splitter off ad I don't even have the lower VR6 one!
  3. My VR had lowered suspension when i bought it, and the springs were snapped at that, so I have no idea what drop I have on my coilovers, I just did it to where it looked good and still meant i could drive over bumps and get out of my drive lol So if someone could give me some measurements from a standard VR from things like the top centre of the wheel arches and the front and rear edges of the sills id be grateful and could figure out what drop Im running cheers
  4. the only thing i can say thats bad about powder coating is if you do kerb/damage them it will chip off in a big chunk. When i had new tyres fitted they prised the tyre on with a bar on one wheel and chipped a chunk off the rim, didnt notice at the time as it was dark, found it next morning, too late to go back :-( ive had to just dab the chips in with some of my gfs chrome effect nail varnish, its a good match on the clean wheels, you can see it stood looking at them, unless you're looking close up
  5. if it doesnt feel connected at all id be having a look at the bushes and stuff like track rod ends jack it up and grab the front wheel at 12oclock and 6 and rock it for up and down play, then do the same at 9 and 3 for side to side play, for each side. as craggsy said if youre gonna buy new tyres anyway get them fitted first and then get the alignment changes done asap after theyre fitted, as you dont want the new tyres to wear into the current setup then youll have the same problem all over next time you buy tyres again
  6. ive seen vids of people doing it with a leaf blower on a dyno, its the same principle as a charger...
  7. That skill looks much more deserving of money than 11 morons that cheat on their wives in the same coloured uniform running around a field
  8. Playing angry birds with a nerf gun is much more fun than using the catapult lol
  9. Mine did the same, prod the throttle and you'd get a big shunt then again when you lift off
  10. If you were swapping one youd be best getting an oem replacement, they are best all matched up
  11. depends if its free or damped movement, the gearbox mount is hydraulic but they lose their fluid and it just slaps up and down freely
  12. Most of our money went on the child so not a lot, a new leather gym bag, senna dvd, inbetweeners dvd, a dymo label maker (this would be because my stepdad is sick of me using his) chav car top trumps, politically correct bedtime stories (hilarious), a chocolate orange. atm im playing with our girls nerf gun and angry birds table game and this infuriating simon says game
  13. Rock the engine back and forth and side to side, you shouldnt be able to move hardly any at all if your mounts are good
  14. aaah from a time they actually reviewed cars eh
  15. Is the latest post column coming back to the phone site?
  16. If you're selling morettes they are very rare so you can get a good price or them I sold mine for £120
  17. peanut butter / oil is good too. smooth butter only lol
  18. You need to plug the line that has a valve coming from near the crankcase breather, if you trace it back you'll see, leave the other one just where it is open, it's the tank vent and won't cause any issue left there
  19. and here is a bucket load of luck trying to make a canbus system work in an older car
