  1. the gearbox mount is fluid filled yes, they leak empty and then it doesn't work just slaps up and down, i found scrapings from the dipstick handle on the slam panel from the engine flinging itself about! lol After having the fast road mounts on i dont think i could tolerate competition daily, they are supposed to be three times stiffer
  2. you do know as a premium member you get some discount on vibratechnics? I upgraded all my 3 after my gearbox and front failed at pretty much the same time to VT fast road mounts. I thoroughly recommend them :-D makes the engine part of the car instead of a big swinging pendulum
  3. I can vouch for ap coilovers as a comparatively cheaper option had them on for 2.5 years and still good as new, they aren't too harsh compared to other coilovers I've had they give a nice ride
  4. If you've already bought the springs then you're gonna have to get normal style shocks or you just wasted your money
  5. add laquer peel and its a 100% authentic spanish car
  6. could be a leaky air chamber on your door, they always seem to lock even if they cant unlock, probably on purpose, much rather it was stuck locked and secure than unlocked and not
  7. That must include the cost of the parts to make a time machine to go back to the mid 90s too
  8. vw owner is right, they are different size, im sure that the front caliper of that 1.6 is the rear on a VR6
  9. most pads in the 288/312mm size (they are the same size, bear this in mind when looking for the best deal on pads!) come with wear indicator wires on them anyway, so you could still utilise them and stop the pad warning light coming on. that light is prob on because you fitted another caliper and the fluid level changed out of acceptable range, check the reservoir
  10. as long as you plugged the pipe coming from the valve it wouldnt make any difference
  11. yea that's actually the default level of the original low pressure sender you would replace. Last time I looked the lowest I could find was a 0.5 and its what I run, but not bothered as I thought about it and decided that 0.25 BAR is a bit low anyway lol On cold start it will up to 6 driving and over and about 4 on cold idle, when hot it will hover at 2 - 4 driving, obviously the harder you drive the higher it goes, full throttle at 6krpm can hit over 5 and 2 or a bit lower on idle. I don't have a part number on my invoice for either the gauge or sender, but they are both vision range 10BAR VD
  12. That rules out residual fuel pressure then
  13. You need a 10 bar gauge and sender with an m10x1 thread and you could use a t piece like that or a neater, better way is to get a twin pole sender. Then you can connect your original low pressure warning light and the new gauge wire up to the same place and you aren't introducing another potential problem point Another point if you get a twin pole sender is to make sure you get a sender with a low pressure warning of 0.5 bar, 0.8 is a bit too high really
  14. There's nowt like making sure though when your gonna spend so much
  15. Does it cold start pretty much instantly?
  16. If they are a circle with a corner cut off they're h1

    f1 on sky

Just got an email from sky, in my view it sounds better, if you have hd or sports you get it free and it's live and uninterrupted. I don't get the sports but have hd so I get it free and it's no ads. I don't call that a worse deal
  18. Think I found some more weight you can remove, there's a can behind your driver seat
  19. supposedly if on iphone with iOS 5 you can turn it off by turning off Diagnostics and Usage in settings, but on android, nokia or blackberry there seems to be no way to turn it off yet
  20. you cant get rid of it, it is there to collect all data and send it to wherever they configured it to send, both manufacturers and networks are doing this.
  21. A piece of logging and sniffing software called Carrier IQ has been embedded so deeply in a number of manufacturers phones that it is invisible to the average user and virtually impossible for anyone to fully remove. It is in fact in front of the user interface meaning it logs things before the phone has displayed the action. This is all done with no authorisation from the user, no opt in or out and sends the information to the company before you even receive it. It also logs and sends https website information, (this means usernames, passwords, bank details the lot!) and it doesnt matter if y
  22. 24v have a VGI as stock, that flap
  23. the filler is attached, take the rubber seal out of the filler hole in the filler flap and it just rests in the middle of the space
