  2. Cheaper to run than what? A fighter jet?
  3. if it had atf in it theres every possibility all the seals and valves are fooked, Vw do a rebuild kit for the rack its about 90 quid. If the fliud was anything but green its gonna have had atf even if its not all atf, and its known for destroying the seals, it does say only fill with green VW fluid and for once the warning isnt just so you go get genuine parts, its the only fluid that works :-) If you ask for steering fluid in a dealers they only do the one, and one bottle will fill the system, so maybe get 2 and empty, refill, circulate then empty again and refill with the second bottle. hope
  4. Dunno' date=' my VR6 is the best car in my whole family when it comes to snow out of the front wheel drive cars [/quote'] That heavy lump of an engine aids traction!!!!!! what heavy lump!!!! no more so than others....... I think the 2.8 is about 40kg heavier than a ford zetec-SE 1.6 lol so that would help, and i know for a fact that 1.8 20VT engine weighs about 30kg less than 2.8 VR6 but it about as heavy as a clio 172 engine, they are both around 170kg, and the 172 is such a fanny in the snow, its comically dangerous
  5. Dunno, my VR6 is the best car in my whole family when it comes to snow out of the front wheel drive cars
  6. the last shape nissan micras, circa 04 shape, they are an absolute blast. I had a little 1.0 as a body shop courtesy car and it was so good, i recommended them to anyone that was considering them. The interiors are typically nissan, utilitarian, but not a soul destroying place to be and you can thrash the tits out of the engine and if you keep it in the zone its a nippy little characterful car
  7. dry weight of 215kg tank capacity of 21 litres 21x0.7kg = 15.3kg 230.3kg + 80 kilo rider = 310.3kg approx 2294.55 BHP per metric ton with rider 3091.62 BHP per metric ton with no rider That sounds like friction burn from air resistance lol
  8. that looks like instant death
  9. it would have gone to the crankcase breather valve then down to the carbon cannister, but i can see youve removed all of it

Did anyone else only register there because just one time there was one thread you wanted to look at, and when you got registered you instantly had forum registration remorse ??
  12. a multimeter will make your job easy
  13. I'd check my alternator if it was happening to me
  14. I think they buy them In US as an upgrade simply because they can be removed by hand with no tools, the plastic handles are supposedly brittle and snap off easily though, there's lots of posts about it on vwvortex
  15. They reckon that you will crash a new car as it's new to you so you won't be used to it, when I got gap insurance on my ST it didnt come into force until 48 hours after I'd bought it, when I asked why that was their reason. Stupid when it's the same model car but I bet the reason is the same
  16. Just got an email from sainsburys that they had no stock of senna so the warehouse cancelled that DVD, but that is the only thing of a list of like 5 that says it was cancelled
