  1. you need a VDO twin pole 10 bar sender that has a 0.5bar low pressure warning and a 10x1 thread pitch. Replace the low sender, right as you look down at them. Its not a cheap sender, ~£50
  2. had this happen to me too, i would recommend that if anyone ever took the pedals out for whatever reason even if it looked ok to seam weld that plate on, the factory spot welds are so rubbish!
  3. The locks work with numbered slivers of metal in a certain order, each sliver being a different length and height when the key is fully inserted into the lock. If you get some numbered slivers from a scrapper or something and sit down with all the numbers and your key you can work out the combination your key needs in no time, probably a good bit cheaper than buying a new lock, my new lock barrel from vw was £30
  4. you probably jsut have a tiny leak somewhere in the air system so the pump is never reaching its pressure to stop running
  5. dont think you need to do it that often, like once every 10,000, Ive used comma detox on recommendation and it certainly made a difference for me
  6. Vw it will only be a couple of quid
  7. The stock low pressure is 0.2 bar, I think if it's nearer one it may trigger unnecessarily if the pressure went a bit low, that's the only reason
  8. the senders come with different low pressure warning points built in, you just need to get the correct one. i got mine from here http://www.etbinstruments.com/index.htm rang the man up and he asked me what low pressure point i needed, 0.5 being the lowest you can get. Just had a look at my receipt, no its not cheap, the sender was £50, i looked for a part number but it didnt list one
  9. You need a 10 bar gauge and a 10 bar twin pole sender with 10x1 thread pitch and 0.5 bar low pressure switch. Getting a twin pole means you keep the stock low pressure warning light on the dash too
  10. I run mine off the radio ignition live, yea it means that they would only run when the ignition is turned on, no point in them being permanent live they'll just run your power down
  11. The rear ones come attached to the skirt so you won't get one on it's own, you may have to get an opposite front cap
  12. They aren't high power or anything you could just run them off an ignition live already in the dash
  13. signed it, but these have been done before and nothing ever comes of them

  15. Cheers mate :-D i would say if you do then use 430 ohm resistors, the 300s are the LEDs running at optimum which is 3volts and 30mA, 430ohm would mean they receive 2.5volts and 22mA which i think would create a nicer much less bright light that would only illuminate the control markers. The only reason i plucked 430ohm is because they seem readily and cheaply available. The only other thing to look for would be the wattage, 0.6w seems the most common, which would give plenty of headroom as the draw would be about 0.2w - 0.3w so the resistors wouldnt be getting taxed and heating up any. In fac
  16. Got the second neon wire in and its a perfect match and is loads brighter than the cheap chinese one, I also wired up super white leds to the knobs as the one little bulb just made them all look dark yellow and not white. Got the exact result i wanted now
  17. Finally got round to sorting my heater lights out, the standard light is rubbish and only just lights up the centre dial so after i saw what some others did to change their colour scheme i used the same idea but with a green light wire as i wanted it to be the same green. First try ended up like this, "green" light wire bought cheap from china off ebay installed in the heater facia inverter mounted to the back of the white shroud i removed these green bits of plastic and replaced them with clear parts from a scrapped mk3 as i wanted the heater knobs to shine white not green I modified the
  18. the crimewatch channel, like that  dunno why it takes such extremism to get anything done in this country though, its just another problem, like kev said, if you push people enough, they will react, you can only contain unrest for so long before the sh!t will hit the fan. The best you could hope of out of this is that any authorities get a short sharp shock and a shake up, cos the current system obviously doesnt work for a sh!t. While i do see the point of the media being to blame as they are telling people too much, this is the information age and any witholding of information is m
  19. TPS and VW are very cagey about selling people tools now, not one official VW place ive tried would sell me them
