  1. the people doing it are obviously the dregs of society, using it as an excuse to loot and vandalise, they all want mowing down with machine guns, then the others that were still alive would think twice before doing it again
  2. I still saved money though as the hong kong one was like £3 and came with an inverter, the uk seller sells inverters separately for £8 so I still saved a fiver haha
  3. I got the controls built back up and just had a look in the dash tonight now its dark and ive changed my mind, im not happy with the colour, its really blue, like turquoise, even though it was advertised as green, this was from the cheap hong kong listing off ebay, ive bought a more expensive wire from UK off ebay thats actually advertised as lime green
  4. as long as you have 288m fronts, but the rears are no good though as they are different, they are a different size, offset and the wheel bearing is integrated into the VR6 ones. as far as rear discs you need ones specifically for the VR6 so they wont be very cheap. I stress, you need 288mm front brakes for them to work. I used Golf mk4 TDI 150 front discs and pads on my VR6 and they fit them same though.
  5. I forgot a very good point, they would only fit if you have 288mm brakes which are the later brakes
  6. get some mk4 golf TDI 150BHP pads they are like half the price of VR6 but are identical physically
  7. I got round to doing this with a green neon, i bought the same one you did but in green, it isnt very green, not near as lime green as the advert made out but its way better than it was so im ok with the colour, seeing as nothing else on there is lit up anyway there wont be anything to compare the difference in colour so wont look odd.
  8. its 1st august 92 for a cat test to be a mandatory part of the test i also thought there was a visual part of the test, like you mentioned, they will just look and see if there is a cat there. what i dont get is how can they test to the older part of the car in an engine conversion, for instance if you put an R32 engine in, they will test it to the standards of the original car as its the older part, as they test according to whichever is older, the engine or the car but the 2.8 is actually officially rated fairly cleanly for a big engine, 199g/km, and an R32 is about 250g/km. Under their own
  9. The fuel pressures are the other way round for the factory 2.8, earlier they were 4bar later they were 3bar but on the factory corrado 2.9 it was always 4bar
  10. are your mounts good? can you grab hold of the engine and move it around a fair bit or is it solid where it is
  11. http://www.carbatteriesonline.co.uk/ this site should tell you the dimensions of the battery your car would require, you just enter your reg and it brings the batteries specific to your car
  12. ill do it before anyone else does lol Weve had these 2 girls for about 8 months now, they're sisters and pretty much inseperable, where one goes the other follows. And they are crazy for blankets. See, inseperable, this is how they sleep every time
  13. Got the new rear badge on now too And resprayed the sunroof seal with black texture paint as it had gone all white and looked rubbish I did a full paint correction as the laquer finish had dulled a bit, which involved doing the whole car with menzerna intensive polish, then menzerna final finish polish, which left it looking so much better, scratch free, deep and glossy. I then finished off with the protection in the shape of chemical guys jetseal and dodo juice blue velvet over the top, as i wanted the protection from the synthetic sealant but the lovely warm glossy finish of the wax, it a
  14. dont look for a proper bosch FPR on ebay, ive tried a few time and theyve always been crappy chinese copies then sent them back and got a full refund, which is just a waste of time. I did run the first one i got and it failed after like 2 weeks, you should be able to get one from a motor factors though, a proper bosch one.
  15. I was getting a bit bored of the standard chrome badges, especially when ive repainted the VR6 badges a diffeernt colour, next to the chrome logos they looked odd. I fancied some carbon fibre badges. So I got a set of badges in good condition from a breakers, cleaned and roughed them up with 1200 and painted them gloss black, I also did the backing of the rear badge and the big ring that goes round the front badge. I also laquered the ring and the backing of the rear badge so theyd look nice and shiny. I got an off cut of di-noc and set about wrapping both badges. about an hour later i ended u
  16. on the bright side, 2 5ls is enough for a full change, plenty to top up with through the year and prob enough to add to another 5l for next oil change :-)
  17. What colour is the oil on a White piece of kitten roll?
  18. Are you sure? I got 2 5l bottles 2 weeks ago
  19. ooooh, they saw you coming a mile off didnt they
  20. the standard ones will be totally different, twin ground and 2 higher in the heat range, they will for all intents and purposes be un-gappable where the single grounds you can adjust to suit your requirements
  21. i think they are the same price, get a bosch one from a motor factors like andrew pages or something if you do, itll be the exact same one just half the price, and avoid cheaper FPRs like the plague
  22. haha brilliant, now ive got a 6yr old girl stropping cos she cant see whats made me laugh so much
  23. if you have high emissions it could be faulty injectors as listed in the rosstech wiki
