  1. nah i dont want a deeper splitter, this one catches enough, the deep one would be destroyed in a week lol Its just sailed through its MOT, last year i had emissions problems and they were fairly high, though it got through it was a bone of contention this time for me, nervous it might fail this time. Since the last MOT i have replaced the MAF, coilpack, leads, plugs, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump and battery. I also gave the whole fuel system a run through using the comma dtox. This time the emissions were so low its practically purifying the town air as i drive
  2. there can be workarounds for most stuff, like if they go on about increased resistance due to wider wheels having a bigger contact patch you could just fit the same cross section tyres, most cars come with fairly wide tyres now anyway, my mothers astra diesel is on like 220 wide tyres from the factory. If you stick with the same cross section tyre you can say you arent increasing your contact patch etc most of the stuff looks like it would be pretty hard if not impossible to implement and uphold continually
  3. just another anti car law, now you dont get taxed heavily for just using your car, you now basically get taxed just for owning a car. The whole point being to punish people with cars enough that they one day wake up and find they cant afford to own a car any more
  4. theres two kinds of MAF aswell, a hot wire and a hot film, you need to get the same type yours is.

    Real Racing

that was when rallying was truly exciting, the speeds were just immense, and the crowds pretty stupid tbh, flooding the roads like that with a car coming at you over a crest at 100+mph was dangerous in anyones book. I wish audi came back to rallying, but i spose theyve done their proving and dont need to, could you imagine a full works RS3 or as the cars have gone down a size, a works RS1 !!
  6. looks like its been comedy sat on
  7. save yourself the money and get BKR5E and change them every 20k instead of every 40k. 1. its still cheaper to buy 2 sets of BKR5E than one set of the others 2. 40k is a very long time, 20k is better
  8. if you belive all you read it will have a fold away bouncy castle and give you the results for future sports events if you say just the right combination of words at a certain speed and pitch of your voice, just wait until its released
  9. sounds easy, certainly doesnt look it though, i thought about this when i had my clifford fitted, this thread soon changed my mind lol http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2339483 this could also totally depend on your alarm fob type, mine doesnt have buttons just circuit board contacts, they dont seem to work with anything but the buttons in my alarm fob so dont know if thye have some metal in or something, from this finding on my own i think its likely that for it to work you would have to start with a fob that has proper buttons that the flip fob could press for it to be reliable. it i
  10. while youve got the fronts out check the status of the grease on the runners, as you need the seats out to re-grease anyway
  11. was just about to itterate the importance of securing them down well when its relocated, especially behind you, easy way to kill yourself almost guaranteed if you crashed, to have a ~20kg mortar ripping through you and continuing out the front of the car
  12. depends if you like the back overtaking the front? if you do then put oversized brakes on the back
  13. the rears are more than adequate on the mk3 already, any bigger is not necessary. If you want proof of this unplug your abs pump and go for a drive. The fronts however, the bigger you fit the better the braking
  14. "proper" oily plugs is due to worn valve guides or rings, where oil can make its way into the cylinder. Otherwise it could be carbon buildup wet with other factors like unburnt fuel or a collection of oily crap from the rocker cover vent, this would be from too cold plug rating. First thing i would do is determine what plugs are in there and how used they are. using the NGK (as they are the recommended plug brand) rating system of 1 - 12, 1 being hottest and 12 being coldest, VR6s need a 5 rating by default, though some use 6 or 7 rating plugs without issue
  15. i run 17" BBS RCs with 205/40 tyres and the acceleration is not blunted at all, or noticeably anyway, it makes about 1.5% difference. These wheels are also quite a bit lighter than my original 15s so technically theres less unsprung weight. The bigger wheels also handle the appaling bumpy roads much better
  16. for the tweeters i cut out the originals from the OE round disc that slots in the dash then enlarged the hole in the middle for the newer bigger tweeters and araldited the new ones in.
  17. sounds like they ripped off crazy town - take it to the bridge with the intro guitar
  18. i will be fitting toyo T1R when these yoko parada spec 2 are worn, but the yokos have actually been better than i thought and have lasted quite well, had yoko A539 before and they lasted 5 mins
  19. Also most other blue wires on there are for remote to the amp ISO standard is blue for antenna power, blue with white stripe remote turn on. It doesnt matter though, they do exactly the same thing I have no idea why your att button on your radio is relevant?
  20. that white meastro advert is a proper joke
  21. i had this issue and replaced the gearbox oil with redline MTL and its not happened since and the shift is much better in general
  22. a loose sender on top of the filter housing would probably cause low oil pressure yes which would trip the low pressure sender to turn the light on.
  23. the + is to be connected to the blue wire in the radio loom, which is antenna power
  24. Lol the hairdryer one she looked like The Grudge
