  1. you must either have aftermarket skirts or theyve been painted then as the stock ones are textured black plastic. you should be able to pick up a stock section of skirt from a breakers. But if yours is either aftermarket or custom itd probably be a better option to try and fix it, as like you say it might be a pain to colour match
  2. the ABS function would stay the same for the most part, as it only detects wheels locking, you would get much improved braking through the bigger brakes though as the force is more. I always thought the braking system was quite good and the ABS on my VR wasnt very intrusive actually, you can stand on the brakes pretty hard and the ABS wont interfere, unless your wheels obviously lock

  4. heater matrix, does the screen huff straight away up if you put the blowers onto the screen when the car is up to temperature? edit nevermind you said it does lol. have you got a bentley manual? it makes taking the dash out a fair bit easier

  6. i looked into it for brakes on mine, but decided to leave it in the end due to cost and i wouldnt really use them, The most popular setup seems to be either boxster S fronts or 911 turbo rears with 312mm discs, these require fabricated carriers but plenty appear on ebay etc. there are so many sites and info and different kits, opinions on which model calliper is best that just googling it will keep you busy for days, there is also a lot of threads on this site regartding this, searching this site first may provide you with the most relevant information.
  7. the leons are even bigger at 323mm and they also stick out quite far, 15mm further out i think, you may want to check out the porsche brakes as i think they fit with less effort and offset problems straight out the box. Are you planning some serious power or track? or just for the scene points of 4 pots? only reason i say is that 312s would be more than enough for any NA VR

Any 312mm brakes wont fit under the standard wheels so if you have standard 15s this is something to be aware of. ibiza cupra AP brakes stick out a fair way from the hub, you can see this with the standard cupra wheels, the offset is huge on them to clear the calipers then they slant way back into the arch by the outer rim of the wheel, so you may have wheel offset clearance issues. A better and cheaper way to 312mm is to take the carriers from a mk4 or mk5 golf, or TT, or S3 etc any VAG car that has 312mm brakes fitted, some 6mm washers/shims/spacers and 6mm longer high tensile bolts.   9. yep, there will be a moulded bump in the carpet near the front mount of the seat, prod it and it will be a hollow hole, that goes underneath it to fill the space and the 2 prongs pop into 2 holes in the floor to properly locate it, seat out and doorway floor trim off and you should be able to lift the carpet enough to re locate it, although if theyve been buggering about with all that under the seat you may want to have a better look and check that they put the under seat vent back properly if they took that out too.

I think a much better rule would be to make the limit at 10mil, that way any of the special or rare or supposed to be hard to aquire cars would still be just that, but any other cars we could still happily swap. im gonna loose either some german touring cars or some group B rally cars cos of this rule change and they took a fair while to aquire

  17. cheers for the nismo, gotta use the next few days to transfer any high value cars i dont have in my carrer account now, gonna lose my clk touring car 00 and pug 205 t16 evo rally car cos of the stupid value restrictions now as i have 6 high worth cars to transfer and only 4 days to do it :-( anyone know what the update refresh time in UK is? i know the send resets at midnight, but when do the updates get released in uk?

    if you got an estate the rears would drop though, not a lot of saloon cars of ~10 years old would have dropping rears unless you went to mercs etc

  20. injen do a water sock called the hydroshield, i used them on all my cars where they had a CAI situated in the foglight area they are very good, you can literally put your hand inside it and dunk it in a bowl of water and your hand doesnt get wet but they are air breathable y'know, incase you get a ladder in your current one
  21. with the straight pipe all the crap, which there is lots, will cake up the throttle body and cause its own set of problems

  23. i went with elephant (same umbrella as admiral) 6 years ago and someone smashed into my car while i was parked in a queue, they were an absolute nightmare too, so must be the main company is just a tw*t
