ooh B5 RS4 (l) one of the cars on my shortlist if youre after something good for motorway what about a passatt TDI 130 or the 2.5V6 TDI in either 150, 160 or 180 power ratings, quick scan on auto trader revealed plenty of choice around 2.5k
  2. excellent result, im betting on a c class or a 3 series
  3. id cut those awful wheels up too if it was me 8-)
  4. ive got the lotus carlton, the 400r is just another car i want, if you get it in ucd can you just save it for me, im on like day 470 now so am way past the ucd list on gtp
  5. is there really a pattern to it, mine seems to be well random, i got 2 '98 clk gtr race cars in the same days new grouping. alway seem to be getting the 02 audi S3 1.8T too, only ever seen the lotus carlton in there once too. ill send you the XJR9 tomorrow after reset
  6. dont know what bodyshop hes using but modern paint is pretty much cured after about half an hour in the oven at about 60
  7. got the 2j cheers b19drg if anyone comes across the nismo 400R in UCD snap it up for me that must be like the rarest appearing car in UCD
  8. If you've got 288s then the pads will be the same size as 312s, more often than not they are cheaper in 312 size than if you specify pads for a VR6
  9. If they had enough braincells to rub together it might be considered a health and safety risk lol
  10. the 312 disc actually sits 6mm further into the car than the standard 288, thats why you need 6mm spacers between the hub and 312 size carrier, so offset clearance wouldnt be an issue anyway, but inner wheel diamater clearance would be reduced with the calliper sitting that much further out to go over the bigger discs. if your stock discs are 288 then you only need the 312 carrier and discs, new pads arent essential as they are the same size but always advisable when replacing discs if theyre 280 you need either 288 or 312 callipers, hoses and pads too
  11. bigdrg could you send me the 2j an all mate
  12. its by no means easy, its very hard, a 20m car doesnt help one bit as i had a ferrari p4 and ford mark iv when i attempted that and they werent too good. dont forget to put race softs on and customise the gearbox for top speed of about 170mph, you will have to drive very defensively and block using rear view, the lambo will outbrake the other cars easily which is where youll make your positions
  13. i used the countach you win from the lamborghini event, i had to tune it up a lot and add a wing, lots of people on gtplanet used the camaro z28 and race modified it
  14. if its over fueling a lot it can cause bores wash where the excess fuel washes away the protecting/lubricating oil on the bores and can cause increased wear, but how many miles have you done to wear them out?
  15. they are holes from the production line so machines can manoeuvre the shell about, they arent needed, the bungs are the cheapest way for VW to plug them effectively enough (when they are brand new, but we all know rubber deteriorates)
  16. is that the historic racing car cup in expert?
  17. it is 293,675 and im on 217 wins but have entered a lot more cos ive done all specials except grand tours and all licenses, cant find the day where is this noted? i bought it anyway as it was only cheap as special cars go. i see you signed up for mygranturismogarage too, was a right pain adding all the cars ive got into that, but i cant see your garage, it looks like you have copied the profile main page url not your own garage one, it should be like mygranturismo.net/13954 (thats for mine) to link to your garage, in my garage it gives you your personal garage url
  18. 80-80 will stretch over its what ive got on mine
  19. What's special about the mitsubishi super rally? Its popped up in my ucd is it worth it?
  20. i have an ipod head unit so i can choose between a fair bit, mostly i listen to global underground
  21. i have a ford nascar, carl johnson i think, which is also really good at doing the indy american championship race, got the f2007 too and did a couple of the ferrari seasonals its so much better than the fgt
  22. i bet the little metal tab on the top of the box that encloses the clutch cylinder has snapped off, have you found a bit of plastic and a bit of metal in the footwell yet?
