  1. I was thinking about doing this to mine, 1 for the superior brightness and 2 i like the look of instant on/off LED lights that are all on the newest cars. Question is are they all just a direct fit in the holders and do they just work or do you need to strat messing about with resistors and new relays etc? cheers
  2. one of your locking cylinders might just have a leak, mine did this, you could hear a pressurised air leaking sound when locking/unlocking i sealed the pneumatic cylinder back up with Q-bond and it doesnt go on and on any more, listen for a hissing sound to see if any have a leak
  3. when the 1.6 turbos come back in ill give it a watch, until then ive got my own scalextric
  4. just picked my dualshock 3 back up after some time after getting annoyed with the nascar races and needing to level up to do anything else. Ive got all the way to lvl 21 without even going into license tests so thought id give this a go. So far ive got B, A, I-C all gold and all I-B gold except I-B3 which is just f**king impossible. The toyota FT-86 slalom test 18.500 for gold, i must have done this 100 times easy and best i ever managed was 18.525 most other times im at least 18.690 if i even get to the finish line. Its just ridiculous cos every other I-B test i golded within 5 tries. Ther
  5. be a fair bit cheaper than the real items too!
  6. if you do be extremely careful when removing them, the part that goes down the straight edge of the window into the door is very difficult to remove intact and are very keen to just split apart and rip, this is the precise reason i ended up needing 2 new ones
  7. theyve gone down in price then, i paid £120 each for fronts
  8. its girls that work in hair salons ive found lol
  9. behind the bumper on the drivers side? charcoal cannister?
  10. have you noticed an appreciable drop in mpg with the lower compression?
  11. i have a PC7424 bought before they offered DAs in UK, they are all rated for about the same power though so are swings and roundabouts. I would say to anyone who likes to clean and polish their car to get a DA, so much quicker and easier to get far superior results. All you need to get rid of swirls and hazing and obtain a mirror finish is a final finish polish and max a green pad. this is after menzerna PO85RD and a green pad, no further correction after just jetseal, before this car had obviously been machine washed a lot, it was spiderwebbed up to foook
  12. was that one the back of a fiat ducato lol?
  13. how are you anchoring the battery down mate? worst case you dont want 20kg soild weight careering towards/at/through your head/body
  14. strange really that you can get more from a bigger engine and more cylinders, I had a focus ST with the 300 pack on it, best i ever recorded was 24, ever, worst was 2, couldnt even get an SL55 AMG to read less than 4, my VR6 just with BMC and cat back gives about 27 average on the mfa if i drive a few 30 mile runs to a tank, it will go all the way up to 36 but most town duties returns below 20s on the mfa, i havent filled up and run to empty for ages, been running half tank or less at a time, last time i did i got 290 from full to empty, but my driving style is pretty much i like to overtake
  15. most garages have parts and labour guarantee, and if you know that they messed about with the part that is now a problem then i cant see them being able to weasel out of it easily? are they part of a good garage scheme or anything too cos if they werent obliging you could use this kind of thing as ammunition if need be too. In my experience a good approach is to know full well what they have done and what has happened and to be nice about it not red rag to a bull, If you dont know what youre talking about they could see the chance to bullsh1t you and if you are arsy about it they ll just shut
  16. isnt turbos making better mpg to do with that off boost they dont make near the power they do on boost? so a 300bhp NA is tuned for that and is making it "all the time" where a turbo off boost is making less power so using less fuel
  17. could be centrifugal force pushing the low level fuel to the left rear of the tank, the pump is on the right front iirc
  18. seing as you would need a new sender to match the new gauge its simpler and neater to get a twin pole sender with a 0.5bar low pressure warning and attach the original sensor wire to the low warning side of it then you retain the original oil warning light on the dash
  19. ha, same place i got mine from!
  20. iirc think its high on the left low on the right, can check under the bonnet later as i have a VDO sender on the low so its easy to tell which is which, but really it doesnt matter which one you use they will both be identical size holes in near enough exactly the same place
  21. yes they are, theres 2, one for high one for low, both the same thread
  22. i would check your bushes first cos if you need new bushes youll want to replace them before gettign aligned again or youll have to do it twice and alignment aint cheap
  23. the windows coming down is total closure, so sounds like your fault lies with that, i dont know how the standard fit TC works though cos ive got an aftermarket cat1 that took over those duties
  24. ill tell you exactly what you need for an oil pressure gauge you need a 10bar gauge and if you get a twin pole sender and replace the low pressure switch with the twin pole, 1 for gauge 1 for low pressure switch, you will still retain the low oil light function on the dash. M10x1 thread pitch and 0.5bar low pressure switch is the sender specification you need best to get a matched set cos different makes dont always work together like they should i fitted VDO as they are renowned to last and the original clocks etc are VDO so they look very similar and OEM looking
  25. is it not just a 355 with a 2cv body plonked on top?
