  1. MG engines all are prone to head gasket failure the MGF got the nickname HGF for a reason :-)
  2. thats a mocal t piece, so quality isnt going to be an issue
  3. http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p13866/T-PIECE-M10-X-1/product_info.html like that? pretty sure the thread is m10x1
  4. if you want it replaced with a modern better alarm any alarm fitter would remove the old one while fitting the new one
  5. you can see what they were trying to do, it just didnt modernise very well, i like that theyve tried to incorporate a lot of the old styling, like the side bonnet vents and the c pillar detailing, though now its not vents its a stamped audi logo. i agree that the front hasnt done too well, but disagree on the back, theyve pulled that off, modern/retro done good on the back. better get used to that front, itll be on all their cars before long, moving away from the 4 sided to the pentagon
  6. Audi Quattro Concept some SWB love too Dont like the bare interior though, for too little happening on that dash
  7. instead of taking her home get her to stay over, problem not solved but avoided, with the bonus off boobs and snuggles all night lol :-D
  8. the mk5 is straight where the mk3 has a bend, you are better off with the bmw 1 series rear wiper arm which is a direct fit, you need to get a 1 series rear blade too but some people find the 11" blade a bit short tho, i got a 14" rear blade from halfords and swapped over the middle connectors so i had a 14" blade with a 1 series connector

  10. Yea the FXX is ferraris R&D project, they are basically getting customers to pay for the R&D instead of stumping up themselves. Its clever, as they are testing the cars on the people most likely to buy the finished result and getting them to pay for the privilege. There are (not including micheal schumachers cars) 15 599FXX and 29 FXX, all £1million each. The FXX was first, firstly you could keep the car in your own garage if you wanted and you got 6 ferrari organised events over 2 years. Though keeping it at home didnt mean you could drive it, they arent road legal in the slightest.
  11. if they are colour coded someones had them off to paint them, are they still mk3 handles or have they been changed to different? like the polo handles, the polo handles are far more likely to disengage with the latch mechanism
  12. hows it going to drive with decreased compression?
  13. I had a PD130 ibiza FR, it was a brilliant car, only reason i sold it was because it developed a fault that the dealer refused to fix on a 10 month old car and they said it would be a couple of grand if i wanted them to fix it, so i part ex'd it to their own garage for a mazda MPS as a "now youve got to fix it tw@ts" thinking back if it hadnt developed that fault i honestly think id still own it, it was brilliant, so quick and so good on fuel

on the plus side the new series highlights does look quite good. and clarksons supercars dvd is alright too, on the downside im not too sure on the new look style the magazine has,,,,
  15. yea i think the middle ones are all the same and the edge ones are shaped and about half the height
  16. yea i got the toyota minolta race car too, how did you get the f1? you need that for the formula GT series
  17. if you got a set of 6 braided hoses then technically you can undo the current hoses and just wind the new ones on, but this is at least a 13 year old car with probably original brake fittings, getting them off with out damaging them will be very lucky indeed. All 6 of mine were so welded together i had to cut the original unions off and re pipe the fronts from the abs unit and the backs from just in front of the rear beam with all new unions
  18. 19mm is the size, loads of vws use 19mm, but ive been running 19mm tubing to a £10 15mm greddy replica tank for like 8 months after my stock valve snapped in 2, i have the pipe coming off the tank recirc-ing back into the stock recirc location and the vac hose to the stock valve blanked off, i did run it with a little breather but got light headed in the car lol. getting a 19mm will be hard to find and cost a fair bit, like this http://www.saikoumichi.com/951_page.htm
  19. 3.94 final drive with the same ratios would be 62mph in 5th at 3k as opposed to 72mph in the stock box on stock wheels/tyres
  20. same that happened last time, stig gets formally identified, kill current stig off, replace, though they didnt get to kill him off this time lol
