  3. my gfs sisters bf has done a lot of his bike in it, he says its proper good stuff and feels like its got a weave to it, he showed me the other week and i was toying with getting some and doing the interior door handles as they are peeling the top layer off. It beats that foliatec stuff for looks. B19DRG cant you just be careful with some superglue?
  4. PPI R8 Razor. re-panelled in carbon fibre everwhere except the doors and roof. V10 engine tweaked to either stage 1 585bhp, stage 2 605bhp or "how deep are your pockets?" stage 3 V8 egnine tweaked to either stage 1 460bhp or stage 2 620bhp courtesy of a supercharger
  5. the way mine were split open id say that reinforcement helps tremendously
  6. funnily ive never made a saving from having a cat1 fitted, they all say that the factory security passes the requirements.
  7. the middles of the sills arent reinforced like the jacking points, i for one wouldnt be using that on any car id ever own
  8. engines use more fuel in the cold weather, the colder the air the more dense it is the more the ecu can load fuel in, thats why your car always feels much more powerful when its really cold outside

  10. the N80 one isnt anything to worry about particularly, did you remove the charcoal cannister from behind the front bumper on offside? As said with others clear first then drive around for a good few days to give it chance to re throw the codes up and see whats reappeared

  13. Ive thought about this before soo many times Id build an NA engine with as much power as i could while still trying to retain good driveability as a nice little daily. Then id buy an 01 Audi S3 and build a killer motor for that too, some nice BBS CH. A performance blue mk2 focus RS, or an RS500 if i could find one And for when i needed to be a bit upmarket, a sprint blue B7 RS4 with MTM supercharging Then shares in V power and drive all day long or for a stable, 3 words, ken lingenfelter collection

  17. i found this when searching for mk2 vr6 stuff, also stumbled upon a mk2 vr6 prototype of VWs own doing, it used a 2.4 24v VR6. For whatever reason it never came to light and they redesigned it to be a 2.8 12v and shelved it for the mk3
  18. anyone else heard of this? I just came across it in a trawl round the net, an official model in the seat line-up in switzerland, a golf V6 4motion in leon clothes, the supercharger conversion performed by ABT. Putting out 276bhp. Shame it didnt sell like hot cakes, then we could maybe have had UK versions and even golfs with the same official tuning pack
