  1. tps is trade parts specialists, trade suppliers of vw parts, some are funny about dealing with the public, others are fine.
  2. you do realise its in US yea? and delivery will prob be costly and take time? you not tried to cost it up from somewhere more local like TPS etc?
  3. yours is pre change then, that kit is for your engine
  4. its on the left side of the engine, mines next to a barcode on the rocker cover near the fuel lines
  5. personally for most people i think 312s off a TT/S3/Mk4 anni etc and braided lines is more than adequate

  7. i have a question for when its all buttoned up and back on the road, will this car, the chassis being pre 2001 still be taxed as an over 1600cc engine? or will the car now be taxed on the standards the post 2001 engine was made under, ie 250gCO2 so arse rapingly high tax band Z times a million? So is it the older standard the car was registered under or the newer standard the engine was registered under? I know for emissions it goes on the engine no matter what car its in, so the R32 engine will be tested for emissions like the orginal Mk5 car was, but no one can tell me what happens to the wa

  9. jesus christ thats not on, if they did that to me id take my car off the road, daylight robbery!! try greenlight mate they sorted me right out, half price of anyone else!
  10. ive done that with the relays and fuses exposed under the bonnet, wrapped them up in thick black balloons, you dont even notice them unless you know theyre there. As long as you didnt buy absolute sh!te the ballasts should be completely waterproof anyway
  11. is your air filter, intake pipe or cat blocked up thus restricting flow
  12. mk5s wouldnt fit as they are different PCD mk4s would but you need 18s to fit over them and they are hugely expensive, like £200 a disc
  13. i tried that with my expansion tank as it was opaque, even tried sharp sand and coca cola after dishwasher tablets, bleach and baking soda didnt shift it, still opaque haha
  14. bentley manual says OBD1 should be 0.7 OBD2 should be 0.8

  16. Went to airkix yesterday, me and my gf and my brother and his gf did it. We got 4 mins each. My gf has a bad shoulder and they state if you do then its up to you if you do it or not and not their responsibility. Apparently the most likely injury is a popped shoulder. She had her first go and couldnt do any more so i got her remaining 2 mins, and gave 1 min to the instructor to do a show.   18. if youre changing it that often itd cost you loads to keep replacing them, paper filters are more efficient than cotton filters too you know

  20. look in your expansion tank for oil floating on the coolant
