    Ive had a fair few cars in my short time drving, all of them, you know, nice, but for some reason the cheapest car ive ever owned is the one im afraid to park and extremely protective of. All of my other cars didnt get that much attention from people, even my bright red Mazda MPS that you see precisely never on the road and had a mazdaspeed intake on it that coughed up excess boost like an elephant sneezing. I used to leave my st and audi parked up in all sorts of rough places and didnt give it much thought. But i cant even leave my car in sainsburys without worrying about it, I come back to

    BMW make the best seal conditioner, its called gummi pfledge and is designed specifically to recondition car door seals and stop water ingress. it even has a BMW part no - 82 149 407 015 i used this on my focus st that had freezing doors and squeaky seals, it solved both problems

    my fave part is the super high strut tops, remember to tell the MOTer that these cars have high tops and its not a fail!!!

    really the best thing to do would be clean the whole area and then see if any returns and where its coming from, unfortunately you arent really in the position to do that, unless you get the guy to do it, it could just be residue from years of oilchanging etc and not come back onced cleaned up with IPA spray or similar.

    you also have to remember that oil has a normal operating temperature, having too good of a cooling system isnt necessarily a good thing if it ends up being too effective and you never run at normal temp, additional coolers are so if you are going way over it brings the temps back into normal range.
