  1. i run it with a blocked off vac pipe too and dont even get a DTC in vagcom
  2. Ive seen them on ebay but was a bit dubious as to their quality, ive heard a lot of people get duff gauges that read totally wrong while the valve in the pump is built in and not replaceable, you can get a one way in-line fuel valve for about £5 so i think im going to get one of these first and put it on the feed line right next to the fuel pump, if it doesnt solve the problem its only £5 not £50 wasted
  3. ive bought some redline mtl, just waiting for the time to swap it now, coming up to oil time too, even though its still quite clean its been over a year so should flush and change it really
  4. no, its mainly for strict californian regulations, it wont do anything untoward, most people remove the canister anyway for a cold air intake
  5. its gonna be one of 2 things, the one way check valve thats in the fuel pump assembly and not available seperately (conveniently) or like you say the regulator. it wont be the ecu as that has nothing to do with fuel pressure, its the 2 valves Having searched for a decently priced pressure testing kit and even asking local garages if they have one ive turned up nothing, so figure im not going to waste at least £50 on a test kit and put the money towards the new parts, though i really would like to test it so i can find out exactly whats the cause. Spose if i replace them one at a time ill see
  6. basically instead of venting fuel vapours to atmosphere the carbon canister stored the vapour and that solenoid controlled the opening and closing which the engine would suck the vapour out of the canister and into the inlet
  7. i got some inphase xtc6 components on reccomendation and theyll go as loud as my head unit will
  8. Its a company called aerocoat in great yarmouth if you google aerocoat they are the first hit, my wheels have the aeromax coating. This is a powdercoat not just a polished finish, so is much tougher and is well weather sealed
  9. yea it does narrow it down immensely doesnt it
  10. Try and out fox this game, i tried and it always knows http://www.quizyourprofile.com/guessyournumber.swf
  11. I went to a small bird of prey centre yesterday and they had a falcon out, he was crazy fast, tuckng his wings in and diving, the woman said hes probably doing 180 on a swoop, brilliant to watch
  12. yea theyre pretty funny he does lots of other ones too, search sarcasticgamer on youtube
  13. I got a dog when i was 2 and he lived for 21 years and he was called olly, he was a whippet mix, when going for another dog i kept trying to find a replacement for him so i didnt get another dog cos it wouldnt have been fair for the dog. I would like another dog, an american bulldog or similar, not english i dont like their flat faces, my gf wants a great dane the same as the dalmatian spotted one on page 1. Weve got 2 cats now, much easier to take care of. Bailey is 2 years old and predominantly blue persian, he has a really bad temper and is massive, thats a 4ft girl holding him! evil see!!
  14. hopefully its the right thread size and pitch then for the temp sender mate although why would you need both reading the same? id rather have a gauge than the mfa, far handier to glance at
  15. why dont you try it with the golf temp sender? they may work at differen ranges
  16. the guys had youtube vids for nearly 2 years at various stages of comletion http://www.youtube.com/user/LupoW12#p/u That thing is mental fast and i love that it sounds like 2 r32s racing
  17. probably so yes, if not hey just pop the wire back into the connector, its totally reversible
  18. correct, replace the blue wired sneder with the twin, you wont need a t for the pressure as youve got the twin pole. however the temp sender looks like it uses a different thread pitch, the T i linked to was whats required for the pressure sender, the temp sender looks like it may be smaller thread
  19. they are all on top of the filter housing, you want to T onto the right one (low pressure) as you are looking from the front of the car, the oil temp sensor is behind both the pressure senders
  20. hmmm after having a look for guel pressure testing kits does anyone know of a decent one that doesnt cost hundreds?
  21. get a year then get another year in 5 months 3 weeks time, as you are allowed to get a tax disc 14 days preceeding its start date, and send the first one back on the last day of the month, therefore getting maximum refund on it, then you havent paid the extra twice, ive done it before and will be doing it again this time as i just had to tax and insure in the same month £££££££££ piss take that its gone up £15 instead of the usual £5, fleecing fcuking government tarts
  22. it still happened with a brand new fully charged battery. Im after a fuel pressure gauge to check pressures and residual pressures, im pretty sure its to do with fuel pressure
  23. yea the more ive thought about it the more ive been swaying toward filling it up with redline mtl, due to being the same voscisities but synthetic, therefore better i think at this point i could put brown sauce in and it would behave better than it is lol
