  1. Found these pics from when i sold them, this was how mine were wired and they worked. Hope it helps Bigger pis on the direct links http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af260/tag-man/100_1181.jpg http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af260/tag-man/100_1182.jpg http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af260/tag-man/100_1183.jpg http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af260/tag-man/100_1184.jpg
  2. they pop up on ebay often enough but most are as part of the set, rarely on their own. So youd have to either trawl ebay often and get lucky or get them from a motor factors or something
  3. I went to a breakers cos i needed a couple of facia parts. The yard only had 2 golfs, luckily both were mk3s, the first i fond was an L plate and was at the bottom of a pile, it had the interior already stripped out nothing left. The vent parts were pretty grubby and i wasnt happy with it so i went off to look for the second. I found a P reg, same as mine, GTI on top of another car, nothing particularly up with it except for the damage the crane did putting it up there, complete except from someone already had the arch extensions and alloys off it. It looked like it was a scrappage casualty.
  4. i cant remember how it was wired up cos i removed them and replaced them with hella quads, but i think it was all straightforaward, there wasnt an over complicated method i think it just all connected up, have you checked your high beam relay? the way morrettes work is they are all H4 bulbs and both the inner and outer lights go on high beam when you select high
  5. Looks like youve got good taste mate ;-) look familiar? lol im interested in this rear lock plinth, does it still retain use of the boot lock? can you unlock the boot from the outside with the key?
  6. Found some pics of the A3 Sline i had on my camera, fresh after machine polishing
  7. i got about 280 out of a tank when the needle hits the red from a brim, this was with what i now know was a duff maf, i havent done a good run from full to empty with my new maf yet, but the mfa indicated mpg has gone up by about 4mpg in all driving situations. i never saw the maf go over 29 before on motorway now it will go to about 38, while i know it isnt really 10mpg better i would hope to see more out of a full tank i fill up as soon as the needle hits red
  8. yes just new carriers to position the callipers correctly on 312mm discs
  9. the main reason i think the wind are the best also is that they have a decent hard drive in them too
  10. Vr6 related not vr6 related
  11. did yours come with the relay setup? mine had a relay kit that only connected to the nearside side for signal and the battery for power
  12. G60 callipers are a the same fit as G56, you will need the carriers from a 312mm car This is what you will find 312mm carriers on Audi * A3 1.8 20V Turbo from 1996 * A3 Quattro 1.8 20V Turbo (110/132 KW) from 1998 * A3 1.9 TDI (96 KW) from 2000 * S3 Quattro 1.8 20V Turbo from 1999 * TT 1.8 20V Turbo (110/132 KW) from 1998 * TT Quattro 1.8 20V Turbo (132/165 KW) from 1998 Seat * Toledo II 2.3 V5 from 1999 * Leon 1.8 20V Turbo from 2000 Skoda * Octavia 1.8 20V Turbo from 1998 * Octavia 1.8 20V Turbo VRS from 2000 VW * Golf IV 2.3 V5 from 11.1997
  13. theyre all front drive shitboxes, they just do big powerslides really either that or its the oil money 14 yr olds proper drifting their carrera GTs round packed town centres in the middle of the desert lol
  14. for me the 5pot is the best thing about the car
  15. If you look at an ST and RS next to each other, the RS has the illusion of being shorter and it looks all the better for it, its the rear spoiler that creates this effect i think. Theres loads of white and blue round here but only seen one ultimate green, brave choice that. If we leave it a few years we'll be in a better position to see how the government plans to financially arse rape anyone that doesnt own an aygo too
  16. the seats suit the car, especially with the rears done in the same style
  17. ooooh sucks mate, looks upsetting. At least youll get that bit of rust on the arch sorted at the same time, every cloud ?
  18. If i was in the same position I was 2 years ago (money to burn only myself to worry about) Id buy an RS in a heartbeat, it would be what my ST was but with warranty, i also like the rear much better on the RS
  19. This thread had me digging up the memories of all my cars now, heres another one that was a bit special, not very many of these around even now. Mazda 3 MPS, with LSD, MazdaSpeed intake, MazdaSpeed exhaust and Cobb remap, 320BHP. No joke this was a 911 rustler That was my brothers Polo GTI 20VT in the background, i would have one of those it was nice, just a smaller golf GTI clone, which is no bad thing
  20. I chopped it in for an Audi A3 Sline TDI 170, because i worked out for what the ST cost in fuel and insurance it was Audi money so then i wanted an Audi, it was a very nice place to be but didnt have the same drive, even when it was remapped to give 210BHP
  21. Mine was my focus ST2. It had the 300BHP upgrade on it, K&N Gen2, Pro Alloy Intercooler, Mongoose 3" turbo back with 100CPI cat, Dreamscience ModB map, Alloy Induction pipes, Blue Samco. I went like stink and i regret selling it oh every day. Pictured here with my brothers Zetec-S
  22. cant see a pic? the correct size CDA for a vr6 is the 85-150, which means you would need 85mm hose to connect to it, youd be best to measure yours to make sure it is the same size though, this pic shows you the dimensions D1=85mm D2=150mm L1=200mm
