    Sad Times

So just fit ABS and airbags? Are they just spitting their dummy out or what?
  2. Haha the colour has nothing to do with what's in it, the colour is only relevant to the previous generations of the same coolant from the same manufacturer. This is why i said you can't mix VW blue with VW pink. Basically I could tell you many reasons why the VW stuff is best for your VR, which involves having to go into much boring technical details about the base ingredients and errosion protection etc etc for example vauxhall coolant is actually based on acid, which is fine for vauxhall as they are designed to take it, but the details even bore me and I am a technical minded person.
  3. Ah I thought you were on about the shifter being cable, yea the VR is hydraulic clutch.
  4. I had never noticed that before about te headrest not matching up to the centre of the backrest
  5. The VR6 is a cable shift aswell?
  6. mine the lacquer bubbled up in the letters and went brittle and cracked, had to re do it again, and its a common problem with the engine bay heat
  7. For the plastic cover you can just use normal car paint, if you lacquer it though it will bubble up in the heat and crack. For the inlet hammerite works well, it would be easier to remove but its a PITA for just a simple paint job, if using spray you'd have to do a good mask job
  8. Putting each cylinder to TDC will help too
  9. That looks pretty impressive for before and after, does it dry totally dry? I use mer plastic gel but its oily and stays wet, I only use it for the skirts and front and rear valances so its fine, but wouldnt be suitable for door handles and the like.
  10. taking apart a 3 month old TV and voiding the warranty when it clearly sounds like it needs replacing would be, foolish to say the least lol
  11. Those look like the correct filters. VW went to the trouble of formulating a coolant specifically for their alloy headed engines that antifreeze qualities wouldnt deteriorate and wouldnt degrade the seals and gaskets, I dont know what you seem to have against just using the correct coolant because it would cost about £15 more.
  12. If you've removed the 2 big bolts that go through each bush its only being held in by the bushes, give it a good kicking, if you're doing poly bushes it will need a good kicking to get it back in too.
  13. It's like a cross between a 7 and a 340R.
  14. Isn't that coolant hose from the aux pump to the back of the head gonna cause a bottle neck being bent like that?
  15. If you just put the VW coolant in now and the current stuff isn't compatible, not only have you now got to thoroughly flush the horrible brown slime and gritty deposits out, which takes ages, you also just wasted about a tenner a bottle on G12++ or G13 (which doesn't matter as they ARE compatible) and have to immediately drain it and buy more to fill it up againbonce it is all flushed. Then you will know that the coolant has the correct level of antifreeze in it and won't crack the head or block in the middle of winter and that it has the right stuff in.
  16. Dont the Leon Cupras need the wheels they come with to have a high (or low, whichever one means they stick out a lot) offset due to the offest of the brembos? Or does that just apply to the APs on the Ibiza Cupra?
  17. Have you tried unplugging it from the power and leaving it for half an hour? Sometimes sorts them out. Shots UNO is a good game
  18. What TV is it? At least it's well in warranty. The gf nearly killed mine last night not watching where she was off, it's on a stand that the tv floats on and will turn, idiot walks straight into the side of it and it goes swinging round rocking back and forth and I thought it was gonna end up on the floor! And it's an old 50" plasma from 2006 so weighs about 40kg so would probably have taken the sky, amp and ps3 out with it!
  19. It's the only one they will still offer if you went in to buy one so must be suitable for both applications, if a part isn't universal it always says up to 217000 or from 217001 for engine number.
  20. Etka only lists a 3 bar pump for the AAA p/n 1H0 919 651 P That is for the pump and housing alone, not the fuel gauge sensor module p/n 1H0 919 670
