  1. Check to see what rating your alternator and battery are, i.e. a 120A alternator and a 75ah battery, the CCA number on the battery is not important for this. Now to do some sanity tests on your equipment. First put the multimeter wires in the position for voltage and the dial in the less than 20V position and touch the wires to each battery post and check the battery voltage, if its not starting I'm guessing its in the 11s. It should be like 12.4V. Then you can check the alternator is charging the battery, turn the car on and touch the wires to the battery posts again, it should be about 14
  2. Mistersolutions is a good place for them
  3. [bender off futurama]WOOOOOOO[/bender off futurama]
  4. Just downloaded tapatalk to see what it was like and tbh the app is rubbish, it gives you way less info about new posts and an awful interface, accessing the website is much nicer and way more informative.
  5. Yea I know what you mean I have the facelift style splitter too on mine, I wanted to know if it was any deeper at the lowest point that the facelift one, so I would know if I could fit one, as my car is at the exact height that it will clear a standard kerb by millimetres
  6. Yay, out of interest, do the iPhone emojis show up on the site?
  7. I can tell its much faster, but my build thread is gone
  8. Man I wish! But its near 600 mile round trip for me, that would be prob £200 in fuel alone, we'd all have to not eat for 2 weeks.
  9. The shiny metal inside of the back box has irritated me since I got this jetex, and I don't want to wait for months for it to soot up (even if it would by itself which by the angle I don't think it would). So I got the VHT matte black spray can out and sorted it out before tea much better! Improved
  10. Just rattle can spray it, it won't look identical
  11. Will it still be self contained also? I don't do Facebook or twitter
  12. New wheeler dealers is on tuesday at 8 on discovery, I think so anyway, I've set it out of the way to record at midnight on the 18th
  13. As long as the inlet is on and making a seal the alternator and inlet are static, so fitting is fitting.
  14. Just saw an advert for it on discovery on Monday at 8, and Jason Plato is kneeling down next to a white corrado VR6.
  15. Cool looking seats for the rat theme, if the edge that you will lean and roll on to get in and out wears through you should sew a denim patch on, my stepdad did that with his old rat V6 sierra and it fits the look awesome.
  16. I would save myself the hassle and just get a genuine beru coilpack
  17. The most off roading I've done is going up my drive
  18. Recent opinions seemed to be Valeo, but I'm not too impressed with mine, it shudders when cold, fine when warmed up but its annoying me a lot, I wish I'd just bought a genuine kit.
  19. I was cutting some up and I was thinking hmm where have I smelt this before? A while later it came to me, its exactly what the set of Toyo tyres in the shed smell like. Anyone else ever come across things that smell strangely similar to something totally unconnected? (Waiting to see how long it takes for someone to say Ajax, and if you don't know it doesn't matter lol )
  20. Or did I miss the obvious? A VR6 conversion?!
  21. The technical aspect is impressive, but it still doesn't do anything for me, putting a 650HP viper V10 in that car I hardly think it will be driveable, a 210HP golf GTI 2.0TFSI would have been better and all it would have needed, and a better fit for the VW car, but the yanks think everything needs an engine the size of the moon.
  22. Little vid of the new exhaust, best viewed loud on big bassy speakers
  23. My sleeve reducer seems to have worked like a charm, no doubt ill check it compulsively for a week or two every time I go out in the car hehe.
  24. Probably but I like to have things right, and 2 I just spent a couple of hours doing it so too late now lol
