  1. Looks like some good work getting done and you'll be on the road soon.
  2. Heh yea I was coming home from the MOT and parked up in town, looked down and it had just clicked onto 100. Whether I could attend any shows would all depend where and when they were and if I had any free money at the time.
  3. Heh cheers, I dunno though, he's goin on about nerve cutting and eventual bone fusing, sounds like I'm gonna end up with a solid wrist, sounds pretty debilitating :s : self pity: I'm really not planning anything major for the VR, just hoping to keep it running and in tip top condition, maybe specially with this surgery crap and also having bad money news all the time Im currently trying to train in a totally different field than my own expertise, from technical to accounting, reason, to try and make money.
  4. Point the car up a really steep hill, air rises so if its stuck in the top of the matrix it can bubble up and out.
  5. I don't like it, the numbers fill the display now, it looked so much less with 5 digits :-( lol
  6. Well I went to see the surgeon yesterday and he's referring me over to get some more tests done with a view to 1 or 2 more surgeries after what he wants to know is found out, I dunno just have to do what I'm told, as he says this will be 3 or 4 months I got the car back on the road. Sailed through the MOT, the CO was 0.000%, cant get lower than that! Then got taxed. On the way back home the car was much faster as it was £275 lighter, and it clicked over to the big one double O... or quintuple O...
  7. Yes ok but , but the power figure is only achieved because the torque is there, the torque is the force of the engine, the power figure is just a by product of the torque at a certain amount of revs, more revs at the same torque = more power, less revs at the same torque = less power. The torque is always the important number, the power is just so you can put your best kevver accent on and say you have that much powah to your mates.
  8. that works out to just a bit bigger than 2 gauge, that should be fine.
  9. Power is just torque x revs
  10. The coolant temp should go to pretty much straight up and be held there by the fans and thermostat, the oil temp in the MFA (button on the end of the wiper stalk) will probably hover around 90 to 100 in a normal scenario, this can go higher on a blazing day in a traffic jam, as long as it doesn't go over about 115.
  11. This was mainly for the downpipe, absolutely no room for a foot and a half torque wrench lol
  12. I'm just coming up to the big hundred, about 99.4 I think.
  13. This top gear was better than the last series though, maybe the whole series, it was just stupid, more the Jeremy James and Richard show with them indulging their egos battling for top spot in the "do a stupid thing" tournament. I hope the rest of this series doesn't spiral downwards.
  14. Yea fast and loud is good, nice to see the singer from system of a down doing something different too.
  15. tbh i just did the exhaust side up as tight as i could go with a normal spanner, as the engine was installed in the car and no room for a torque wrench.
  16. Lower and upper inlet - 25Nm Exhaust - M8 nuts - 25Nm M10 nuts- 40Nm The book doesn't seem to have any info for the studs themselves.
  17. Ah it was a toss up between input or release I thought release was the more obvious one and doable by yourself. The input shaft bearing needs the box to be split open to fix yes.
  18. If its on the wires that lead to the throttle body it doesn't apply for uk cars so was never used.
  19. Another vouch for genuine over generic, first time I removed the generic ones most of the connectors snapped clean off, I've had the genuine ones currently installed on and off loads of times and they're still like brand new.
  20. They did 2, 21 was Moscow and 25 was Toronto, they have to go down as the top GUs, in fact any that was Sharam or Dubfire on them, I went to see Dubfire for a GU31 Taipei event, best event I've ever been to in my life.
  21. Just youtubed it for "better" (if you could say that about this) videos and he never had control of it, fool
  22. I still listen to my old Deep Dish GUs in the car, love deep dish.
  23. Yea I would look at the tracks on the light board first
  24. If that's what it is then you would need to take the gearbox off as its inside the bell housing, do you know if its had a clutch recently? If its an old clutch then the bearing can start to make a noise, its not really imperative though unless it gets noticeably worse noticeably quickly, when I got mine about 3 years ago the bearing made a whine, it lasted fine until like last month when I replaced it.
