  1. The clutch torque handling is the important part not the power. A standard clutch is rated for like 275lb/ft. What I have found with larkspeed is they are good for products and prices but have never really felt like I got sound advice from them, I now just find exactly what I want and if its coming from them just tell them the product I want.
  2. For the price of epoxy vs a new coilpack if having an issue with arcing or missing etc i would try epoxy first, what's to lose?
  3. Sounds a bit catch 22. It's not leaking while the car is stood still but could it easily be jarred when back together and start leaking again. Also the o ring isn't in it's groove so what's gonna happen when up to temperature and pressure? I have always put a good bead of loctite grey coolant resistant sealant on the o rings and never had a leak issue there, I've had it on and off a couple of times and the sealant has always cleaned off fine too. So I can recommend this method for assurance. You'll know its sealed in cos when the sealant has gone off overnight the pipe and housing/block end a
  4. It looks like you're gonna have to start at the headlight plug with a multi meter and work backwards testing the wires, you might have some corrosion in 1 or more connectors allowing the light to get a permanent live feed.
  5. I think that's the parts aren't too interchangeable, each rack has its own specific numbers, but I've never directly compared.
  6. One of them is smooth bodied, one of them has like a waffle pattern on it, yours should be the smooth body IIRC, mine is.
  7. No, if you are using the car daily just use the standard thermostat and cooler, if you "uprate" them in this scenario all you'll do is make the engine take ages to get up to normal operating temperature and increase fuel / oil consumption. They are only really necessary if you're tracking it regularly and are seeing temps over about 114 every time.
  8. I'd like to see the amount of light that comes off with the film on.
  9. It's just there for sound deadening really, alternatively try dynamat
  10. Nice to see you've started down the loooooooong road, its worth it at the end, and the further down the road you, the longer you can roar back down it when it's finished and tip top again. Good luck
  11. First I'd disconnect the headlight switch to see if that's at fault.
  12. Didnt really get a lot done today, was up most last night too damn hot even with windows wide open so started the day on the back foot. Did manage to do the imperative stuff, needed to get a SORN application and get to the supermarket. Made some home made steak cheeseburgers and just been catching up on Dexter sipping some Johnnie Walker Black Label. Still says its gonna rain tomorrow so looks like wont be washing the car again, bah.
  13. Lol that's good going, every fiat I've ever known failed on emissions.
  14. If you don't have a metal lead removal tool get one, the plastic one is a POS, its sometimes a bit of a fiddle with the metal one, always impossible with plastic. I got gen VW fuel filter and rocker cover gasket for about £12 and £15 from TPS. You need to get the right one as early ones have studs and later ones have captured bolts in the cover. If you're later have a look at the bolts you can see and see if they are corroded and nasty looking as its the perfect chance to replace them with stainless versions while the inlet is off. Plugs if replacing get NGK BKR5E from mr solutions gapped t
  15. I'm looking at the user name, is this a mole hiding in plain sight? Lol
  16. It's a fiat, emissions lol I'm hoping it'll just turn out an ok day, I'm not bothered about sunny just dry so after about 5 weeks I can get a good wash and wax on.
  17. Wheeler dealers didn't actually make any of the products they use you realise? The whole system as normal only has 18psi in it so not that pressurised anyway, only enough to increase boiling point to about 120C
  18. Ha I'd not seen the arachnid, one of them actually has the man v food man in it.
  19. You'll need a paint that can withstand high temperature or when the engine gets hot it'll blister and peel off. On the block and box you'd prob be better just brushing it on as you won't be as accurate with a gun.
  20. Any of you seem any of these on YouTube? Some of the stuff they make is 1. Mental 2. Possibly disgusting but I think they're quite funny. If you haven't just search youtube for epic meal time they have tons of vids, a good laugh too.
  21. Does the air filter and pipe work not need any additional support?
  22. They used to have an Impreza STI round here but now the best they've got is a Discovery
  23. There is a wire from the alternator to the positive anyway via the starter motor, but another one isn't going to hurt, its the path for the alternator to recharge the battery.
  24. Excellent point about the filter, I've read many things that said changing the fuel filter has remedied bogging, stuttering etc, worth doing anyway as a matter of course so def worth doing anyway and could sort your issue.
