  1. Take the interior panel off the boot and grip the bolt with mole grips and try to unscrew it from the inside
  2. First you need to make sure it's getting power with a multi meter, using the chassis as a ground, if no 12v then you have a power problem, if there is 12v while chassis grounded then you likely have a bad earth
  3. I should think its all custom, pretty immense work too if you ask me
  4. Nice looking mk2, will watch out for more updates. There is only one mk3 subframe for all models.
  5. I've had smaller displacement turbo 4s and they do have to be in their band or they are dead as a doornail, aside from the 4cyl VAG TDI which has so much torque that they are good at 1krpm to 3-4krpm so will laze about then you can floor it and get a donkey kick in the seat. Even had a petrol 2.3 turbo and it laboured at low revs. It's a shame. My VR6 and my focus ST I had before are/were just brilliant, They both laze about at idle pulling the car along and would still deliver the goods, flexible, the ST turbo 5pot (at least the tune I ran on it - 300hp) is the best engine I've ever had in a
  6. Lukey.

    confused lol

Is it a really late reg?
  7. If the forecourt price is 24 then it wants more than 4 knocking off, new keys etc or not, it's stolen recovered, and sh!t sticks, even if it's just in your mind
  8. This week I got round to fitting the undertray I got like 2 years ago for a bargain tenner. First I drilled the original mounting holes on the subframe from 4mm to 6mm to fit big enough bolts and washers that would hold the tray in place, then I fixed bolts onto the subframe using liquid metal epoxy giving me captured fixings on the top side. Looks a bit of a mess but epoxy is always messy and it's normally covered up by the tray anyway. For the gearbox side fixing the hole in the tray was much bigger than it should be, so I used washers to hold the surrounding area then wound 2 little nut
  9. Well vettel had a pretty convincing win at Suzuka... As far as Hamilton goes I don't know if he gets a bit too cocky sometimes, perez's overtake at the hairpin was brilliant. I hope raikkonen gets a better car again cos I've always liked him
  10. 10w40 semi syn oil like quantum synta silver or castrol gtx. For plugs there are a couple of options, NGK BKR5EUP are the OEM spec platinum electrode & multi ground tip and have a supposed life of 40k but are expensive at £40 a set. Or you could fit NGK BKR5E which are the same heat range but copper electrode and single ground tip, these have 50% of the service life at 20k but a set costs £14. My recommendation would be to use the cheaper set and replace them twice as often, as 40k is really a long time and the VR6 engine fouls spark plugs up like it enjoys it.
  11. I topped up the underseal on the whole chassis today, awful stuff, I never want to do that again my life.
  12. WHAAAAAAAAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU..........................CK?! Number 2 ?!?!
  13. Has he been watching too much fast and furious?

Edit - don't know why it's listed under golf 2.8 then the title says transporter unless they use the same clutch, entirely possible as clutches are listed for more than one engine in Etka, the OEM part number equivalent is for the golf VR6.
  15. I can tell that my OBD2 doesn't have brake pad wear indicator
  16. VALEO? I'm pretty sure Sachs and LUK are both OEM suppliers

  18. Definitely, I thought 4 was a bit lacking compared to the others but this one is awesome!
  19. It says that its an OBD2 golf and the manifold is OBD1, so you could fit it with just an adapter plate, as the car is already OBD2....
  20. Its been out for a few months now but it went totally by me, and its a good one
  21. If you are going to get shot of that hose and not replace it.... The crankcase vent can vent to atmosphere but the system is designed to be sealed as the air it vents is supposed to be recirculated as the maf already accounted for it. If VTA you need to block the port on the intake elbow, and you'd need to block the port on the inlet manifold where the hose attached
  22. haha, tbh it doesnt showcase his impressions very well, i think the noise is too deep and quiet to be picked up on the video
  23. Don't know if the sound was well recorded through my phone.
