    i have a N reg obd2 vr, only had it a week and has had starting problems, (needed a battery lol) but the last two days it starts then cuts out straight away and i can only get a quick rev in before it cuts out. i took the plugs out today and they were soaken wet of petrol and the leads are shot. so will this cause it to start then cut straight out? cheers in advance

    ive dropped a vr in my mk gti, and i need pictures off the coolants hoses and thermostat housing, as i dnt know were the pipes go, lol thanks

    nice 1 mate. but i have i working nw. starts fine. the only problem now is sorting and tidying up the fuse box and wires. and the coolant system. AND how u managed to get that much power out ur vr. with just wot u have dun. u got a remap too?

    ive just put a vr6 obd1 in my gti 8v, it starts then cuts straight out, my mate who is a mechanic of 20years said it will be the imobilser, as we just checked the crankshaft sensor. Anny ideas or help please?

    sorry mate, i have the same problem but ive dun a mk3-mk3 swap, on a gti. dun all the wiring theres a few minor little connectors not connected to anything behond the fusebox. it want to fire but it wont. im getting spark ocasionally. wot do I do?

    im having the same problem mate, im guna try that. were do i plug it into? wot part of the fuse box?

    ive just put a vr lumnp in my gti. everything is done for the engine to fire, but it wont. its turning and im sumtimes getting spark, im getting fuel and air too. ive changed the engine loom over during the swap (lights, central locking works the lot, feul pump aswel). i was wondering cpuld it be the imobilizer on the vr6 loom not working? and will i need it cancelling out by an auto elctrian?

    i was thinkimg the same. lol, so im just thinking ov smoothing the recess and the bottom fog light holes. ive already smooth the rear bumper

    ive nearly done the swap nw. havent took much attention to the drive shafts. my mate told me that they are different sizes. the 2.0 8v is a 1994 model and the vr6 is out of a 1994 too, but the shaft were fukd on the vr. he says that the gti shafts a smaller so i will need new 1s or get them from a later spec gti
