    Well i thought i would do a little project thread as over the past year or two it has turned into one, probably not as extensive or as in depth as some of the build threads on here, but i have been quite pleased with the outcome! After not being able to sell my vr6 after getting a company car, it was looking a bit tatty, here are some pics from about a year ago; At this point a fair bit of work had been done under the bonnet including head gasket and new thermostat, sump gasket, recent full service, new brakes down to new heat shield, and there it sat for a long while with no tax or test til

    Well Its been in my shed for about a year, i sorted out the original front and found new love for it but after seeing yours i am definitely thinking the vento front now... the headlights look sweet!

    my old alternator was a 120 amp version and i have just sourced a 70amp one, i dont have a/c so i assume that this is fine to use, the only difference is the pullys are different

    in the past when searching for keskin alloys on ebay there have been the odd centre cap for sale on there, other than that try getting in contact with Keskin direct, i think someone else did that, they have a website try dropping them a line. ive also just bought some kt4's but in 17's, need a bit of a tidy up, but got em cheap!

    Hi, need to replace my alternator and I have an obd1 vr can someone just clarify that both obd1 and 2 use the same alternator or not? Many thanks

    I might have to duck out of this one aswell, a bit too far of a trek, and I have to be at one of our offices near Chippenham on the Friday and Monday in the company car so I will have had enough of driving by then... I know this is going off the subject a bit but anyone in the Cornish end things thought of a meet more locally??

    My friends got some coilovers off his gti, anyone know if these will go on vr6, just thinking bout the difference in weight of the lumps. Cheers

    Been looking for some after market vento headlights and everyone i come across on t'internet are LHD spec and therefore not road legal, anyone know anywhere that does RHD ?

    yeah used the right tool and no damage...will be using some electrical tape me thinks for the time being!!

    Hi, I have an obd1 vr6, it was misfiring and on closer inspection one of the leads was arching close to the spark plug. So I replaced the leads and plugs but it has started again. To be honest I used the cheapest parts I could find, is this the reason why it has started again and should i by more quality parts or is it caused by something else?

    seen some springs and shocks for sale locally for a 16v gti, any body tell me if these will be compatable with vr6?? thanks in advance

    Been trying to sort some rear brake caliper carriers for my vr6. spoken to a supplier and he said that there didn't appear to be a difference between the vr6 and gti, any one know if its the same part for both? just wanted to double check first! thanks in advance!

    no worries! Not loosing either. Just got off the phone to a mate, says hes been using him for years and that loads of other people use him as well, garage is a vw specialists
