I have a 2004 Gti and i need to replace the complete dashboard. I was wondering if a jetta(bora) dash would fit on it or would i have to get a golf dash. Does anyone know where i can get one for cheap?
-
do the pulley sets work well with the VR, is it worth the money? how much of a power difference will i gain?
-
Thank u RCF for the summary cuz to be honest i was getting lost. But yea i just thought that 4Motion never came on the us versions of the golf/gti except on the R32. Becuase i have a MK4 GTI VR6(24v) with a 6 Speed but...... Its FWD. And yes the Bora is called Jetta in the states, and a little fyi the Passat was actually the first vw to come with 4Motion in the states So now my question is how hard is the Swap? What do i need and where can i get it?
-
so whats all this 4motion talk i see on the forums? Is this a common swap that people do on thier GTI's.... or am i missing something

So there are Gti's that come with 4motion, I thought it was just on the r32. maybe that is a UK thing and never came to america cuz iv never seen or heard of 4motion on a GTI. I had an audi quattro and i loved how it handled so i could only imagine how nice it would be to have allwheel drive in a Gti. Is there a good site for that, where i can get parts for a swap?

alright so i used to have a honda accord, and i went with a under drive pulley set up and it made a very noticable difference. Has anyone installed a set on their vr6, or anyone know how well they work on the VR? Also if anyone knows where i could get a set of underdrive for the 24v VR, mostly all i can find are lighened pulley's.

Ok soo i have a mk4 vr6 i have some plans for it and one of them is chipping it, most likey Giac. But do i really need a chip if i am goin to dyno tune my car? Another idea i had was to get a Apexi Super AFC (which my friend has and wants to sell to me) and then dyno it? So do i really need the chip, is it going to give me more power after the fact of dyno tuning? Any help/advice or maybe other options well help me alot. Thanks
