  3. Actually I don't know what I want yet :-d Maybe go for the more expensive turbo solution or a N/A solution including cylinderhead, cams, VSR and remap. I have just bought this car a 1998 Syncro with the 2.9 ABV OBD 2 engine. I am going to use the car nearly 20.000km a year, so maybe the N/A is the best way to go. I know that I will only be able gain around 25PS, but still.....

  5. I am planning to install a Aquamist 1S system on my VR but I'm still not sure wheter to use water or a charge cooler solution. How much water does a water injection kit use? I know that it will depend on a few variables, but what is Your experience? I drive appox. 20.000 km a year.
  6. No not really :S The engine has some problems taking high RPM but when I solve the problem I plan to install a Aquamist 1S waterinjection kit.
  7. Ever since I mounted a Rotrex Supercharger on my VR6 I have had this weird "problem". Everytime the engine gets high RPM the clutch gets soft. The next time I use it its almost half way in the floor. The clucth goes back to normal after using it a couple of times afterwards. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the brake vacuum as the clucth is connetet to the same hydraulic system??
  8. My engine misfires when it reaches around 6.000 RPM. If I disconnect the bypass valve the engine goes all the way to the limiter. This could be a coincidence but I have tried a couple of times now with the same result. I have already tried switching the bypass with a new one, didn’t make any difference. The engine is 2.9 with a Rotrex supercharger kit and has been working perfectly so far.
  9. Unfortunaly a had some bad spark plugs installed when the car was on the rolling road. The curve is a bit un-smooth over 5.500 RPM due to the spark blowing out. How much torque did your engine have?

  11. Thanks. Next project is the engine. It looks a little boring now, so I'm installing a polished intake manifold, red 10mm HT leads and some other smaller details.

  13. Decat! My previous 2.8 was measured on a rolling road after installing an empty cat. The figures where 188hp and 173 lb ft. with the empty cat. as the only change.
  14. Do you mean the same figures as mine or the same figures with water injection as without? I plan to install a 10 PSI pulley thats why I need some sort of cooling as I don't wan't to install a intercooler. So the car is going to get a remap anyway.
  15. Thanks for the replies. What is the output of our engine with water injection? And did you experience any draw bags regarding engine performance? I'm very excited about trying water injection. Currently my car is producing 260PS and 340nm / 251 lbf with a Rotrex C30-84 at around 0,5 bar / 7.25psi.
  16. Hi I'm new here. I have just ordered a Aquamist 1S system for my supercharged VR6. When does your setup activate the water injection around 5.8 PSI?
