  1. I am after getting an oil pressure gauge. where have peple located theres and what adaptors and kits are worth getting.

  3. I have just bought a stainless steel exhaust with de cat and a 6 branch stainless manifold. the system has one thin round centre box and then the back box. If I cut the centre box out will I have trouble with sound limits on track days. or will it be too loud full stop.?
  4. will keep 280 for this year then. grooved discs front and rear HEL hoses and mintex pad front and rear and look at bigger next year. see how I get on
  5. Well roughly putting a tape across the discs they do look like 280mm not 288 which I thought. so do the complete set up change, 280mm have one size pad 288 have another (and same as TT) ?? I can get a set of Mintex that are in between the red and yellow EBC. and from same guy he can do me a set of 6 HEL hoses for about £65 pads are cheaper than EBC and he assures me will out last a set of reds. looking in to discs from him and they are around £40 each fronts grooved waiting a price on rears
  6. I will be looking into the 312 conversion next year but this year due to costs I just want a decent standard replacement set up. Plus the above post is not the first I have heard about them being not much better than standard. What could you do the conversion for. Cost wise. Are red stuff over speced for what I want. It won't be used on road apart from driving to the track day

  8. me and a mate are doing a vr6 as a track car and are looking into brakes. we will do the 312mm conversion next year but this year would like some that will be a direct replacement.
  9. what power would you expect a OBD2 (pretty sure its a 2 from throttle body thats on it and reading threads on here. its a 1995) at the mo it has stainless exhaust cat back and K&N filter. just bought de cat and going to get stainless manifold? where in the south can get it maped and would it be worth doing after the de cat and maifold are fitted? also what else can I do without supercharge and turbo for use on track and keep reliable
  10. Iv seen those resistors, a little black diode with 2 pins coming off. This is a replacement chip?

  13. I want to buy 312mm disc conversion but also want to keep the cost down this year. I have just bought the car so never touched a track with it yet. I am thinking of doing a few changes like coilovers braided brake lines loose the interior and a set of semi slicks. but as for the brakes I will upgrade and spend more money after I have done a couple. but for now i would like to put some uprated pads in. what are peoples recomendations mfor a performance brake pad for use on track? cheers Tris

I have just bought a VR6 that me and a mate are going to use as a track car. when the car starts in the morning from cold it gets a slight top end tappet rattle for about 2 seconds then stops and is fine ther after. The last owner may just have stuck any old oil in so i would like to do that 1st. what oil is recommended to use? also are the tappets hydrolic and do you think it could be something more serious?
