yeah its pretty dam annoying, i can handle it at this time of year but im in the north of scotland so cold weathers never far away lol -
as above, is this a common fault? i've had a look underneath and everything's plugged in so anything else is way above what im capable of fixing any ideas?
-
nae worries, cheers anyway

i might take the rad and fans off your hands if you decide to go with the rado set up mate, let me know if you do and what sort of money you'd be looking for. Cheers
-
thank f**K for that, i just got it back after getting a new engine and gearbox in. Im already contemplating a life of crime just to pay that bill !! The joys of motoring. Cheers for the help and advice lads

well i've tried wd 40 it didnt work unfortunately, the fans turn easy enough by hand. Well at least i reckon they do, there aint much room to play with in that engine bay so its pretty much impossible to get near them as you all know. I reckon its going to be replacement parts, theres a lad on here selling the whole radiator and fans etc, anyone know if that can be replaced without the engine coming out or taken too bits?
-
nice one folks, will try all of the above and see what works

My cooling fan sounds like its about ready to take off, it makes a high pitched squeeling noise when it kicks in to cool the engine and when i switch the heaters on, any ideas lads and lasses?
-
thought as much, i was toying with the idea of gettin a new spoiler but most of them seem a bit over the top, needing sumthin a bit more subtle
-
I'd be up for a meet in Scotland mate, im up in sunny Thurso but Id welcome any excuse to drive the a9 again cos i had a hoot bringin the car up here, cost me a fortune in juice like but defo worth it
-
is that rear spoiler standard mate?
-
It was a bit rough when i started it but i put it down to the cold, im no mechanic so im pleading ignorance. The mechanic reckons my only saving grace is that it happened as i tried to start the car, it wasnt actually running at the time. Hes stripping it down tomorrow so i'll know what the damage is then, cheers for the advice

Had my vr6 3 days and the timing chains just f'**kin snapped. Luckily I was at a garage looking to get a few things tidyied up. Any ideas on what I should be looking at money wise? Im thinking approx £600, also was thinking this could be a good opportunity to do a few wee cheeky mods at the same time, any ideas or advice would be much appreciated . Cheers
