  1. if c2 tell you to use that they have loads of customer cars running that power so i would take there word for it, and yea if you were running close to the standered compression your llucky its only the head gasket that went :-P, im building a twin turbo up affter xmas i can wait for the +300bhp :-)
  2. lol youl be allright iv only got three bolts holding my TB in lol, dont work over drains
  3. mine wines when cold, first thing to look at would be the tensioner as that the comon thing to make noise lol, but a vr6 with 80k, even if you have to spend a few quid youve got a very young vr :-)
  4. well have you lowered your compression to take the turbo yet, because if you havnt then they do head gasket spacers which will lower your compression, if your lucky anothe to have new pistons to do that job i would go to vw for the HG
  5. i had some dymags on my golf while it was a 1.6 and they just looked to sick
  6. i wouldnt reuse the bolt if i wass you, they will be one day that you need to take it out and if its been on there for a year or so that might be very hard :-p but good luck with the ht leads, can you send me the link so i can get some too lol
  7. get in contact with stelth, untied motorsport or c2 they sell them
  8. well thats the type of system im looking for, i didnt know about the battry back up will need to have a look at that, im going on ebay to see if i can get hold of a toad a101cl, as im happy to instal it my self then i know how well that imobliser is wire in
  9. well im not really to bothered about a certificet its more the fact my car gets left in dodgey bedford, 7 cars robed last week, oh i would like a alarm too.
  10. hi people i had to send my ecu off to c2 when i swaped the engine due to a mis match of keys so dose anyone recomed a aftermarket immobiliser thats ideal for the golf?
  11. thers a ground for the imob just below the stearing wheel that may have become poor and may be causeing the problem, whatts vagcom said?
  12. one alonge the lines of the topic what about the FSE POWER BOOST VALVE http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FSE-POWER-BOOST-VALVE-FOR-VW-CORRADO-VR6-2.9i_W0QQitemZ350226682346QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=166325265453&rvr_id=166325265453&cguid=356290aa12c0a0e203d30273ffec231d do they work?
  13. yea why the hell do you have a blue car
  14. so the brand is H&R that i should be using, i have the ebay 10mm spacers now but there not great and seen to be a bit of a bodge in my eyes
  15. have you gaped the spark plug to the right gap, also did you let the TB calibrate affter you did the work, and like craggy said are you sure you didnt nick one of the ht leads when you installed the head, i really dont see how a gasket on the TB or inlet manifod could cause it to run very poorly but iv never had that problem so i dont know
  16. i think the vr6 will start regardless of how much oil you have ( i have a oil leak), also i read a while back about someone asking if his engine will be ok because he started it without oil, also it would be harder to start the secound time round as the oil level would of droped a tine bit, also the imobiliser would not be effected by the heat as its all in behind the dash and the ecu, but it sounds the same as a imobiliser the way it staarts and stops affter a like 3secs, have a good look at the grounds around the engine, also have you tryed using the other key the chip might be damged in you
  17. hi people i have some scuby wheels that i want to put back on my car, iv hade them on with 10mm spacers and had anothe rub to ware the inside of the tyre away so is it safe running 20mm spacers or a bad idear? take note this is my daliy driver so it gets abused now and again

i had a chat about this in the mot center, your most likely to get a £30-60 fine, but if you were to hit someone while not having a mot your in big trouble, you cant get points for no mot unless your car is unroadworthy or you crash, of yea i passed and documents are up to date :-)
