  2. do they get that hot :-o, i dont run one as i want a turbo in the end of the day, do they hang more off the engine than the standerd exuste
  3. my bad, but as it says there target os 10000 cars is still trying to be done, stupid number of cars tbh
  4. fill it to the max level, turn the motor on and let it run without the water cap on, carry on toping it up as it falls all the way till it stops falling.
  5. well you have to remember the engines twice the size of a normal petrol engine, so it will be using more than the normal 1.4, i dont think you need to worrie about the oil, unless theres smoke pooring out the back.
  6. yea do as alot of old car drivers do, keep a bottle of watter in the car :-p
  7. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33712 theres the list of cars that are going to be updated to the game or are allready there
  8. i will buy a ps3 and gt5 if they have a vr6 in the games, if not then its xbox and forza just because they forgot about the vr again
  9. im laughing here, my insurence was 1800 for my mk3 golf with a 1.6 in it then i called up and listed all of my mods as i cant aforde to be caught without inshurence and it droped to 1300 when i listed all my mods including my vr6 engine listed at 180bhp :-)
  10. you normally use wraps for turbos as they work better with the heat and become more efficent, i dont know why you would when you dont have a turbo though.
  11. when i run the tank down to the bottom its a 65quid full up for me, also if you were losing thatt much petrol you would be able to smell it
  12. and a slight bit of mayo would most likly be there is your doing short trips and letting the car cool before it gets the chance to get hot, take it for a drive and get in to 90c and keep it there for 15 mins then when your finshed check the oil cap and oil stick and see if you can see mayo.
  13. well they do tend to like there oil, mine uses 1L every 2-3k miles, but your coolent shouldnt be droping but if its only noticible over a time of 1k miles its most likely to be a small leak around the water housing, mine leaks a fair bit, there just not that well made, and i rushed the job abit :-p, but yea look round the water housing for coolent stains.
  14. how much miles do you do before you notice the coolent drop?
  15. ok i opened my tb up and checked the state of the electronics and there all spotless and in good order, and my obd2 port has power but just wont talk serial
  16. englands lucky to have some of the best fuels but unlike to have the worse prices
  17. lol backed off then, your pushing a k03s very hardd to get 260bhp out off it :-p but yea i would think it achivable
  18. hes not in england, and octane booster is rubish, just go for the best petrol you can buy there, petrol is one of thouse things where you get what you pay for, ie if one type of petrol cost a few pennys more per litter that is most likly to be the better one
  19. drive by wire too, so you should get the r32 pedle box
  20. what dose the TB tell the ecu, and is there any sensors or eletronics that could be cleaned on it
  21. iv had two have a look at it, since it cant be scaned the only option i have is to carry on switching parts :-/
  22. well the pad what sits on the caliper piston should have a clip then the other one can fall out when the disk is not inbertween the pads
  23. if you want to saty na i would go for the r32, you will get a reliable car with that NA punch, as for the job being hard, its a engine transpalnt its not going to be easy.
