  1. yes try that too, still no good, i just got to be thankfull im almost coming to the end of the parts that could cause the problems
  2. ok the list of parts: new leads, coil pack, spark plugs, lamba sensor, maf, fuel filter, cam sensor and crank sensore, my car wont talk to vagcom so its a bit of swap this it might work, i was thinking maybe the fuel pump might be giving me problems, i have a golf gti for spares i will have a go at swapping the pump tonight, the only way i can describe it is i floor it in what ever gear, its fine up to 3-4k revs then loses power, i can hold it all the way to redline just a bit guttless, then if i go up a gear, making the revs drop below 3k rpm the power is gone for about half a secound then co
  3. would hoter plugs need a smaller gap? as i have sligtly hoter plugs, all my plugs are at 0.028 inch
  4. well i woke up at 7 today and regaped all my plugs and still no cure :-/, i dont even know if its a missfire as theres no bangs or pops, and its to high in the rev rang to feel the engine go unsmooth, alow since changing my plugs my problem of losing power has gone up 1000rpm and is not as frequent im suspecting it is a missfire
  5. well just had a quick look at the old plugs which were running a bit worse than the new ones and they were at 0.038 inch.
  6. what i was thinking, install a short runner maniflod, mount the charger ontop of the engine with the extra room you gain without the normal intake manifold, then run a slitly bigger belt, i think i might try this as you can pick the charrgers up cheap

  10. sills are not part of the cars structure well atleast not anything you could damgege with a jack, btw this only refers to some cars, golf mk3 been one of them, but yes welding would be the best option, but if you need a run around for a few day till you can sort it properly i would putty it if i was you, but change the sills at a latter date if your going to putty it as i may be wrong, i dont think i am though :-p
  11. hi people as some of you might know iv had running isues for some time now, iv changed evrything that could keep my car from losing its powwer in the higher revs, but still not working right. i bought new ht leads and plugs on the weekend that passed and im still having problems above 3k revs, the plugs i bought this weekend are ngk twin spark plugs they were not the right plugs for the car but very close, there abit hotter, i still think that im posible having problems because there the wrong gap, so dose anyone know what i should gap them too?
  12. why would the hd make the heater cold not unless the coolent level has droped below the heater matrix, do the pipes feel warm going to the matrixif so maybe your switch from cold to hot air is broking, or worse head gasket or waterpump playing up, or simply let your coolent level drop
  13. what is the shiffter ment to be like because i have to touch the front window when i go in 1st, 3rd, 5th and the rear window when i use 4th and 5th lol, but i thought that was normal

    well like you say the dyno is better as every engine is diffrent affter 100k miles lol
  15. if its the sill whats damged just get some metal putty and do it your self, wak a bick of primer on it and take it to the mot center and just be like the paints fresh there so dont jack it by there if they try
  16. i would say scam too lol, if there was such a thing that done that much to your car dont you think every car would come with one :-p
  17. it should help, i would flush it too, but if the nosie dont go away i would have a good look at it if i was you
  18. the pump is on or off, the fuel reg on the fuel rail is what controls the pressure, and it wont pump unless the engines moving.

    send him a email to see wether he will take it back if you see no diffrence, surly its just a copy of someones dynoed vr6 thats been modifyed then the chips just been sold as a standered upgrade, so i would think you would see some gain but not the same gain as if you were to take your car somewhere to get it tuned on a dyno
  20. no they wont work, not unless you use hubcentric spacers, i had some 16" subaru wheels on mine with 10mm spacing on the front and rear and they tyres still rubed big time on the coilovers, so you will need something like 25mm of spacing to clear the coilovers, btw subaru wheels look sick on the mk3 :-p
  21. dose it start and run for about 3 secounds every time because thatss what mine done affter the swap, i had to get the immobilizer removed, talk to UnitedMotorsport, they can remove it, also if you can use vagcom it will tell you if it is the imobiliser stopping it from running
  22. i have thought about it but i cant see a plade that i could place the charger and not have a stubpidly long belt that will be pron to slipping
  23. vagcom wont talk with my car for some strange reson, it would before it went to c2 to get the imobiliser removed
  24. ok just to let you know i have changed the leads and its improved a bit bit its still cutting the power around 4k which is killing me :-(, i have changed the maf, lamba, cat, fuel fillter, air fillter and plugs and im still not winning :-(, im going to have a look at the fuel pump and regulator next
  25. lol im having the same problems but mine loses it at 3k rpm, im buying ht leads latter i will get back to you on how that works
