  1. Sorry must be 0.63. Yeah I'm after bigger numbers, so i need to either get a bigger housing or sell the gt30 and buy a gt35. Cheers everyone
  2. I would of thought I would of got nearer 400 aswell. It's a shame Stealth and united motorsports are a million miles away from me! Awesome gti are closer i might take it to them and see what they say.
  3. 480bhp seriously? Well I only managed to get 355bhp with 370ftlb of torque. It seems as if by 5500 the turbo has reached it's max power. Also forgot to mention it has a set of Autotech 262 cams fitted aswell! The guy that maps it normally does Subaru rally cars so maybe he is missing something or as the turbo is only a gt30 the A/R housing is way to small. I think I need to take it to someone more clued up to the VW scene. Anyone got suggestions?
  4. Ahh that's where I went wrong then, I stuck it in my T4 as that needs all the help it can get!
  5. Its at 1.4 bar now, so somewhere round there really. Where is United Motorsport based by the way?
  6. Before I reveal my dyno power figures I'm just wondering roughly what sort of power I should be getting, so here's a quick spec list OBD1 VR6 engine converted to coilpack Schimmel front intake Siemens 630 injectors 8.5.1 spacer Gt3076 turbo. O.62A/r hot side Omex management VW plug leads 4" air filter 3" exhaust right through 2.5" intercooler pipes Spa exhaust manifold 38mm tial wastegate 02m 6spd 4wd gear box. Suggestions from other people running similar setups and there power figures would be very helpful, thanks
  7. Wow your doing well mate. I was only getting 12.7 in my mk1 caddy vrt 4mo at vw action last year! Infact I think I had a run against you. This year I'm running a bit more power and hoping to get in the 11s. You keep up the good work though I'm well impressed.
  8. Here's a few pics but I do have a full thread on caddy forum. The frame I made to bolt the subframe to and is welded into the caddy This is it welded in and painted Rear suspension turrets made and welded in Tunnel cut out for the propshaft Tunnel welded back in 3" higher There was loads more to do but you get the idea. I'm running a 12v vr6 obviously with a turbo and I've also fitted the vr6 front subframe to mount the engine on.
  9. I've converted my mk1 caddy to 4wd. It's a mix of 4motion running gear with mk2 golf rallye rear subframe. Whichever way you do it prepare for alot of fabrication as everything needs modifying to fit! If I was to do it again I would think about using the Audi Quattro system instead so it would be a true 4wd all the time.
  10. I bought one last year from VW and I'm sure it was near £100.
  11. The fuel rail adaptor you are after is it the standard fuel pressure regulator adaptor or something else? As I have a fuel reg adaptor for sale.
  12. Hose joiner, for hard plastic to braided hose? Didn't realise you could get them.
  13. Stupid question, but will the -6 hose clamp onto the standard hard fuel lines ok with normal hose clamps?
  14. Ok nice one cheers, guess I will get the -6 hose and fittings.
  15. Yeah it's 8mm but what does that make it in AN size? I'm sure it's either -6AN or -8AN.
  16. I'm currently fitting a Schimmel front intake and fuel rail, I'm going to be fitting braided fuel hose and Aeroquip style fittings but can someone please tell me what size fittings and hose I need as I can't get my head round these AN sizes!
  17. I never bought the turbo new It was 2nd hand off eBay with apparently only 5k on it and I've only done about another 10k tops on it, so either someone was telling porkies or it's not been looked after from new! Still the price I paid for it 2nd hand a few years ago and the cost of a new core still only just about works out the same price of a new gt3076 now!
  18. Ive bought a replacement core for my 3076 now, half the price a new turbo and still genuine garrett so alls good.
  19. Ok so I've been running caddy with the Vr6 turbo in for a few years but now the turbo seems to of come to the end of its life as there a fair amount of play in the main shaft! The turbo I currently have is a Garrett Gt3076r and was thinking of going slightly bigger to a Gt35 as I'm after getting 450bhp and also sticking with the Gt style turbo i can keep the same downpipe etc setup. So what are these universal Gt35 turbos I'm finding on eBay like? Obviously I would prefer another Garrett but with a £1000+ price tag and another baby due in 2 months I would rather try to save some pennies if I
  20. Hmm can't see why it wouldn't be but I will check later tonight.
  21. The printout I put up is bhp and boost in psi not torque. It climbs to 18psi then tails of a little before leveling out through the revs so I'm guessing there is no boost leak? The fuel pump is a Sytec which is supposed to be good for 500bhp fed from a swirl pot and the swirl pot is fed by to Facet red top fuel pumps. Would he guy mapping it not notice if there wasn't enough fuel getting in? Would it not hesitate and miss?
  22. Yours being the gt35 I would guess it will always be a bit more than mine. I think my a/r is too low on my exhaust housing, from memory I think it was 0.62 , don't suppose you know what yours is do you?
  23. Cheers for that, what psi are you running? And whats your max torque? The last time I got it mapped at 0.9bar it made 310bhp with 340ftlb of torque don't know what it was this time as I never saw and didn't get a printout.
  24. Yeah I thought it was a steady curve, but I guessed that was just the way it was mapped so you get a nice smooth power delivery. What revs does your power delivery peek at?
