Central locking broken, cant open petrol cap...... is there any way around this that does not involve taking to the garage?

Got in me mk 3 this morning and switched the engine on and the dials made this funny sounds, reset back to zero then jumped up when I turned the engine on. Thought nothing of it until I switched the engine off and the dials stayed exactly where they were (engine temp, RPM, Speedo and petrol). Really bizarre, when i put my key back in and turn to "one" (engine electric on), it all shoots back to zero, re-sets then turn the key all the way to engine on and it goes back up to normal again. Does anyone know what this is. Also strange as the central locking also stopped working at the same

Hi, I have a mk3 2.0 GTi - R reg and am struggling to find a lightbulb for the glovebox. Does anyone know what bulb fits i.e. size or item number etc. Thanks all I know this site is for VR6, I used to have a VR but downsized to a GTi to expanding family. I tried to join the GTI forum but find the website HORRENDOUSLY confusing and do love this form 1000 times more. ta

Hi, had wet carpets recently, heater matrix has not split as not loosing water. Then when it was recently raining I noticed water dripping passenger side under the dash, How can this be happening, is a water line blocked somewhere? Any help would be appreciated

also - surelt the bag isnt as secure as a box - it can be broken in to easier?

Brought a 2nd hand thule on ebay, trying to find a good box to go on top but cant work out whether I want a box or bag similar to the Pic. Is the bag watertight and what is the capacity and make. Quite like the look of it

I got a mk3 GTi and VR6 - am trying to fit a roof rack to my GTi but Halfords say they dont make/sell one. Surely you can get them for the mk3 - they say they are only available for the mk 3 estate? can anyone help?

it has rained quite a bit recently so hopefully this is the problem. Where does the carpet lift without having to cut it? It it an easy job? and easy to fix if this is the prob?
