  2. Hi has anyone got a differnt contact number for United motorsports? I need an immobilised delete doing to my VR6 ECU ASAP. Tryed to phone them via the number they have listed several times through the day and get the same result everytime! strate on hold and just left there no mater how long I wate no answer!
  3. Thanks for the heads up trying to get hold of United motorsports it seems they don't answer the phone at all. Nightmare! im prity sure its the immobiliser now tryed everything else.
  4. Ive shown my track car some light & pulled it out of the garage to do some paint work and on going to put it back in the evening it wont run. It starts for around a secont then just cuts out. So I have removed the alarm which was an old school cat 1 Laserline Dont need it anyway! But no joy its the same. So i swaped the ECU over to my road going VR after a heads up from a VR6OC member and it ran fine so its not that ive got Fuel pressure so its not the Fuel pump. thinking maybe the key & chip reader are playing up but to be fair im pretty stuck.
  5. Ok tryed the ecu swap the ecu out of the non runner is fine in my other VR it fired first go.
  6. Ok ive got 2 VR's so i'll try swaping the ecu over on to the runner & see what happens.
  7. Hi when I crank my VR6 it stats for around a second then cuts out. Thought it may be the alarm old school laserline cat 1. So I removed the lot and it's still the same. I'm stumped!

    Thanks gents thanks for the link it's Odb2 for sure. Also found my vr6 track car has the odb1 engine with odb2 styling & brakes etc.

    Hi folks need a little help I'm advertising my vr6 engine on eBay as I'm planing on doing R32 conversion I keep geting asked if its odb 1 or 2 & to be honest im not 100% sure it's a R reg first registered 12/11/97. If anyone can shine some light on the situation it would be much appreciated. Regards Rodger from Wallasey
  10. Good point i aint got a spair wheel! ANOTHER THING any ideas on where to get hold of a baffled sump from?
  11. Im goin to have a good look for a set of cams im planing on geting hold of another engin and bulding it up with lots of goodies. I replaced the cam chain and tenshioners last week so i can continue to kick the current motor's head in.

Thanks Guys. the trim is allready done away with in mine ive even got a spot weld drill and removed all the unnessary steel like the rear seat frame saet belet hangers etc. I got a Carnbonio induction kit on there i didnt think it would do much but i got it for free so wacked it on! Its just a carbon fiber tube that go's from the airflow meater down inside the inner wing.
  14. Hay! Im looking for some ways to squeeze some more power from my 96 vr6 golf. I have allready fitted an induction kit, 6 branch maniflod, decat pipe and exhaust system. but im not looking to go down the supercharger rout yet. Any ideas Anybody?
