Update Ok i was due to swap my TT comps for a set of Porsche D90's then buy adapters seperately, however the night before due to being knkacered and a rock sticking out from a wall i managed to do smash my passenger wheels.... So i decided instead of repairing and swapping id have as an early birthday present a full repair and colour change, the boys at Wheel Wizards on Par Moor, St Austell did a brilliant job, can't find where they've repaired at all! and im really happy with the colour choice... so here goes.... Also got new dice valve caps from "joe4" from swdubs, with lockihng c

Haven't updated this for ages lmao... so... Update! Looking back at the last one little bits include LED bulbs inside and out, white VW rear badge and white grommet and all the usual little tiny mods. Good ol' ebay. Bagde decided i wanted a VR grille badge, found one second hand that needed painting, so went for red... which looked shit lol. So sanded back flat and painted it Rover steel grey... haha, actually looks nice and is kinda subtle still Interior Fitted dial and heater rings like i did on the Rover-ness, and painted needles red on the dials, this only took fucking ages.. however i

absolute LEGEND! thankyou! when it went i was on way home and it dumped all my coolant, luckily was outside a house and they gave me 15 litres of water all in containers, and tape to temporarily cover the hole haha -

Update Contrversial Mod.... Bonnet Bra... Bought this from an ebay seller for £35, so if i decide to remove its not going to straign my bank account nor car building fund... Recieved it and fitted it to the car, can't say im certain on it, sometimes i look at it and love it, sometimes i want it taken off but im going to leave it in place while i consider Decal time Down and out sticker on... could do with stance on the car now to match the sticker.... lmao 280mm Wheel My Budget spec 280mm that was fitted to the 25 is now on the Golf bought the non airbag boss as much much cheaper, will ge

Firsy off, pressed plates, german font, no euro band, old plates looked a bit shabby IMO, these are a definate improvment. Also fitted a gearknob from a Golf mk5, did require a bit of bodgery to fit but never the less looks much better headlights have been swapped, swapped the blank angel eyes for MK3 GTI headlamps, then seperated them and smoked them, now look much cleaner and tidier. and finally today starting sanding down the plenum (i think thats what it is... lol) in the engine bay, the plan with this is try and give it a polished look, obviously it wont be perfect as im doing it by

HELP! Coilover stuck :(
geo7087 replied to geo7087's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
tried silicone spray and WD... might be worth a go! -
my VR came with hot tuning coilovers, theyre not that old but i know people dont rate them as they are cheap... last night i set to winding them down, 3 corners were fine... back left though... nightmare even with silicone spray mutiple times it would not budge, to the point where the C spanner broke off part of the indents in the ring that it attaches to, the bottom ring is fine, but the top ring (holding up the spring) WILL NOT move any ideas?
