when you fit a supercharge what else do you actually need to upgrade or can you supercharge an engine and leave it at that?

Has anybody ever used chalkboard paint and just rolled it on the car? I know you wil need to key the surface first but i havebeen told no primer and no laquer is needed just roll it on and there you go? I am thinking on doing this either to the bonnet or the whole car. I have decided not to take this whole project to seriously and just have fn with it so any advice will be appriciated.

I want to insure the VR6 for 1 month just so i can drive it about and enjoy it while it still has an MOT and tax. i have tried a few companies and for a start hardly any of them will insure golf vr6 some have quoted me like £320 for a month. 1 month!!!!! any body know any ways of getting round this. I have fully comp insurence on my work day to day car so if i got say my dad fully comp on the vr6 i could then drive it round third party yeah? Any help will calm me donw lol

I am in newcastle and i would also like to get involved but driving down to leeds and tatton park etc is a bit far, we need a new meet section for the North North not the mid North like manchester etc lol

This is my new project car, its a 1992 mk3 golf vr6 in deep purple bought for 700 smackers. I have big plans for this little rocket! So far i have only stripped it out in the rear and changed front wings and fuel filter lol. having problems with rusted on nuts and bolts but i am getting there in the end i am going to try and have it matt grey with red details on its arse with nice rims and stretched tyre look. wanting new brakes, vento front end and much more lol anyways here it is dosnt look like much but it will when i am finished with it! Any ideas or styling details let me know incase i ha

oh no! right looks like its a job for me then i think i am going to have to grind all the rusrt right down to the metal and see what parts i need to cut out and replace. you can be pre fabricated arches cant you? like an arch repair kit? still dont know what to do with my sills that might have to be a paid job like. Just want to get it all ready to be sprayed by the end of the year

Not sure if this is posted in the the right section. I have striped the rear interior out of my vr and in a few months when i have finaly tackeled the rust issue i will be wanting to fit a half show cage with rear strut brace and four point harness seatbelts. What do the seabelts attach to at the back the brace or the cage and if so has anybody got any picture of what they have done so i can see how it all goes together. The cage i want to install is a half show cage with the big cross where the rears shoulds be.

Well last night i decided to take off the plactic trim over the arches and the plastic side skirts of the vr6 only to be greeted with a shed load of rust, its quite bad and i have know the basics of fixing rust but i think this lot might be to much for a D.I.Y job. has anybody had any experience of deep rust on arches or sills that are completlety rust through? i know i can pay for some one to re do it all but if i can do it myself i would rather do that. Anybody shed any light on this? or possible costs of a third party sorting it out for me? I will post pictures up later on this week when i

I have this problem, i have taken off the plastic trim around the arches and i will be leaving it off as i think the plain metal looks better, the plastic side skirts are staying but i am fitting new ones. I have two new arches to fit and when i went to take off the old rusted one i noticed you have a few bolts under the front bumper, so i am guessing this will have to be removed to get to them. let me know how it goes incase there is any problems i may face. I am fitting a Vento front end so probably be changin the arches as i fit that.
