Thanks for nice comments. Will get onto ripping that quilt out asap then and giving that under bonnet a good old polish up
-
Ive taken the quilt off before on previos cars and found that in the winter it takes ages for the engine to heat up as the heat just escapes through the bonnet because the quilt aint there to hold it in. Anyone had this problem on a VR when they take there quilt off?

A few more. Note to self, need to get more shiny engine bits!!!! `

Hi all, Done a few little bits to the car since owning it for just under 2 months now. Replaced the stock BBS wheel and picked up a set of 5 Audi Pepperpots in mint condition for £50 so i snapped them up. Also been tidying everything else up as well as having a major service including battery, plugs, leads, fuel filter, oil + filter and new sump gasket. Hope you like the pictures. If anyone is interest in having a photo shoot, etc then check out Endless Photography on its facebook page: Endless Photography

Lead Snapped off any ideas Please ?

The light is prob on because the stick thing in the cap of the brake fluid bottle is stuck because the bit inside has fallen off. Undo the cap and clip is back in so the stick thing goes up and down freely. The stick thing should float on top of the fluid. So when its fixed and the cap is back on, tap the stick thing and it should 'bob' back up. If not then put a little zip tie round the stick thing on the outside of the bottle and it will stop the washer on the stick thing hitting the connections on the cap and putting the light on. Hope that makes sense. Lol. -
Hello, My tyres are running very low on my Mk3 VR6 highline and its currently running 205 50 15 tyres. I have a Nnew set of 195 45 15 tyres sat in the garage, would these fit and be ok? the car is on FK coilovers so i can adjust to suit looks etc and maybe even fit some 10mm spacers to push them out and bit. What do you guys and girls think? Thanks

I managed to get my VR6 odb2 up against another ob2 vr6 yesterday and notice that im missing the pcv valve coming from the rocker cover to the plastic inlet pipe, and instead i just have a bit of pipe. Would this be cuasing me problems? Thanks -

Done as mentioned above and it seems to have helped. Although Since i cleaned out the trottle bodie and intake system the other day, its now taken a little longer to start, and sounds like it isnt firing maybe. Do i need to reset the throttle after cleaning it out? Thanks -

Ok, I took the plastic throttle bodie elbow of and it was all gunky and oily inside. Would this be from the Rocker cover breahter? Gave the trottle bodie a clean and took some crap off the butterfly. I also realised that the reason why the light keeped flashing on was because the little plastic part in the cap of the brake fluid resivoir had poped out and was making it seem like there was no fluid in it. Light has now completly gone out when driving. While i was moving stuff around near the trottle bodie i noticed that when the stainless 6 branch manifold was installed someone must of ruited -

No, how would you clean it and would you use to clean it? Cheers -
Hey, Ive recently got my VR6 and seem to have a few issues. I done a search on the forum and nothing seems to cover my problem. The red hand brake light seems to come on when driving, but generally when its a bit cold and damp/raining. It does seem to fade away and go when the engine gets warmer and after a while of driving. But my main problem is that when i drive the car hard, it seems to bog down massively and loses loads of power towards mid/upper rev range. I also noticed that the engine sounds like its missfiring/running lumpy anda few puffs of black smoke comes out of the exhaust. Funny
