  1. easy abs ecu is right on the underside can be removed with pump and everything else in situ, you may have to manipulate a pipe or 2 slightly to get it out, but nothing major, 1/4 drive wrench with a small socket does the job.
  2. Just an update.....another 35 miles today with know ABS issues
  3. Well as I say anyone who has a faulty one that wants me to have a go on, pm. Me your number and I will give you a ring to arrange Cheers Rob
  4. lol, I cant make any promises, But I can give it a go for ya, as long as you paypal me some dolla for return postage. I think to remove just the ecu its 4 4mm bolts (well there not normal bolt but you can get away with a socket) if you are gona use the car after make sure you pop a bag over the electrics
  5. I didnt this time, but if someone has a broken faulty one laying around, I can try the same fix, with some photos/guide and return it to them after. With any luck its the same fault as the rest of them and not just luck on my behalf!! but all does look fine on VAG-COM
  6. After much faffing abput replaceing sensors I found my problem to be the common obd2 abs ecu problem. Now rather than spend money on another old unit or silly privr new unit. I decided to open it up. And all I done was refreshed the solder on all the connection pins on the PCB put it back to geather re-sealed with some silicon sealent, pluged in and cleared all error codes went for a drive.....voila all abs sensors are reading speed!! Soo far I have covered about 60miles with know issues!! just thought I would let you guys know!! Rob
  7. possibly the settings in control pannel for the com port you are using. You are setting vagcom up with the cable first, before trying to read faults? Rob
  8. Hi Just wondering if anyone has had any experiance with 5mm wheel spacers on the front of a VR6? my questions are. Did you use non hubcentric type Did you use longer bolts Did you have any problems after any thoughts would be great! Thanks Rob
  9. Hi guys I just purchased a new crankcase breather, however before I fit this I would like to clarify that, am I correct in saying that it just pushes on to the rocker cover and that there is no rubber pipe as such? I know you are all thinking, why not look at the old one but the old one was not factory fitting shall we say lol... so if anyone has a pic or if anyone knows for sure that would be great before I force it on and break the £30 quid bit of plastic lol Thanks Rob
