  1. That does sound really good. What's the Italian method, I've never heard that before but take it it means flat out?
  2. Few more parts ordered. Wiechers front and rear strut braces Poly bushes next buy and this thing should be handling pretty good. Also received my front indicators not sure if I'm going to run both or just the outer ones I didn't go for crystal ones as I want to keep it looking more from the 90's. US side repeaters And a omp boss I'm not the best at taking pics so some of these have been half inched off the internet haha. Steelies get picked up Wednesday to be banded by Banded Wheels Essex, I'll post up some pics once I get them back.
  3. This might be a daft question bit are all abs wheel speed sensors for the mk3 the size? Just ordered some but they look smaller then I remember
  4. Yeah could do. I'm away for a couple of weeks so won't be till after that.
  5. I've got some 3 door abc pillars in black I no longer need but I'm in South London
  6. I haven't done much to the VR lately there's been so much going on but I have ordered or picked up some parts. Hopefully once Christmas and New Year are out the way I can get going again. Eibach anti roll bars R-Spec oil pressure, oil temp and water temp gauges and pod Lockable bonnet pins Snap off steering wheel boss And a set of 16" steelies which will be banded to 9" all round I've got a few more parts on order which will hopefully turn up this week. Still got to order the fibreglass wings, bonnet and sunroof blank, send the wheels away for banding, fit the TT brakes to the front,
  7. I don't know a lot about ice but do know if your not running a sub and want improved bass 6x9's are good (not as good as using a sub but you know what I mean) you could use a stealth shelf if you want to keep it looking clean. I've used infinity kappa in my mk3 and always thought the were good.
  8. I've looked into this a bit and you can do what's called Laid Up Insurance but I'm not sure on the in's and out's of it but it is possible
  9. Nice one thanks but my cars in bits and the moment and I've no way of getting there but thanks again
  10. I done this years ago and used sound deadening made by brown bread. No complaints with it and easy to use. http://www.brownbread.eng.net
  11. Thanks for that. Thinking about it doing it bit by bit does make more sense. Weight loss is the main thing at the moment though
  12. The other thing I forgot to ask is whether it would be worth swapping to a v5 gearbox with LSD? I want to run a LSD anyway but I'm unsure as to what gearbox would be best? Thanks again
  13. I'm looking to build a track day mk3 and need to know what's best and what's a waste of time. So far I've got mk4 rear brakes, 312mm front brakes, koni coilovers but I've read I need to change the spring rating to 430 front and 320 rear is that right? Also I've read not to change the anti roll bars as the standard ones are fine? I'm running Enkei wheels which weigh 7.3kg each, these are the lightest I can find, without spending stupid money. The interior is stripped out and will have a cage welded in, dash, bucket seats and perspex windows fitted. I'm not sure to do with the engine tuning w
  14. Plans have all changed again!! I'm hoping to build a track day car now, I want to have a bit more fun. So I've started to stripping the interior, the custom cage has gone along with the roof lining abc pillars and door cards and I will be looking for a weld in cage and swapping to laxen windows. Not sure what I'm going to do with tuning the engine yet but that'll be last. I wouldn't mind a bit of power so I can do the odd quarter mile run but not a stupid amount it's a mare on the track
  15. I want to fit Lexan windows but I'm unsure how they fit, do I need to keep the original rubber seals or are they glued in? I want them fixed in with a sliding windows inserted. Also what's the best way to remove the glass windows? Thanks for any help in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was asking the same question not to long ago and someone sent me this thread which is a blindin read http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2616140 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. After reading this pretty much all day, I'm swaying towards forced induction, it's so expensive to tune the VR and to spend a bit more I could get another 200 bhp but read the link I found it very interesting and learnt a lot from it. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2616140 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It is ££££'s but I do want to do so might have to look at bike throttle bodies again, I've got plenty time to sort something anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I know, there's a video on YouTube of a VR on throttle bodies and it sounds the nuts, I'm gonna speak to the fella who's gonna build the engine and see what he says cuz I do really want to do it. Hopefully this link works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. As you will have read I'm wanting throttle bodies. A couple of weeks ago these popped up on a site on Facebook As you can imagine I was like a kid in a sweet shop. I've been chatting to the company who makes them and they've been very helpful but I'm not sure I can justify the price after speaking to a friend who said I'd probably see 20 bhp extra and now I feel gutted not sure what to do with the engine now but I've got plenty time to think about it.
