  1. I've just moved house yet again and haven't seen the last few
  2. I could be up for it but not sure if my motor will on the roads, I am hoping to finish it by March so hopefully
  3. After chatting with a few people looks like the jap rims I've got can't have the welds removed so if your ever buy 3 piece rims make sure there not Japanese. So looks like I'll be running 16x7.5" wide rims to start with. Who else is running 7.5" rims? I wanna use spacers what's best width spacers to go for to improve the looks?
  4. There the only pair I've ever seen on there. You could get another pair and cut them down but I'm not that good at that sort thing so brought them lol
  5. Thanks pal. The mirrors were on eBay about a year ago, I did have mk3.5 before that but you don't see the stubbies that often
  6. Finally got round to getting the cloth door cards I brought in and the custom cage, I was surprised how well the cage went in last time it was a pain in a** but went straight in this time. There's still a bit to do inside like the wiring for the I.C.E, the seats aren't mounted yet and a few other things I need to get to the breakers for but it mostly done. (Sorry for the poor pics in advance) Also fitted the mk3 stubbie wing mirrors
  7. Thanks to everyone who helps with the running of this page, I'd be lost without it
  8. I only used one layer and that was fine. This is the sort of stuff I used http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/brown-bread-sound-deadening-/171130903015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-CAR-HOME-AUDIO-SOUND-DEADENING-PROOFING-MATERIAL-MAT-/350860154426 I'm not sure what it's made from you peel the back off, there a black sticky stuff and stick it down with the chrome foil to the top, I can't remember if you use a heat gun or not
  9. I used a sound deadening called brown bread years ago (about ten years ago) on a old car, it was good and easy to apply. As to how much you'll need, find out the size of the sheets and work it out from there, if I could remember the size I could tell you. I think I used 5 sheets to do under the rear seats, boot and the door panels but that was on a R5 GTT
  10. I didn't realize you could do that on here. Thanks
  11. After searching on the internet for hours and not getting anywhere and being told the part is a vacuum for the brakes then told it was for central looking and carbon canister and a charcoal filter I phoned up Volkswagen gave them the part number and it's for the air con. I've never none a part to come up with many different answers. Thanks to everybody for your answers
  12. I've no idea what it is Jabe It's a sealed unit and feels like its empty as there's no weight to it and screws onto the inner arch but I can't see where the white pipes go as that might give some clue. So far I've been told it's a vacuum reservoir, air con drain, carbon canister and a charcoal filter or something like that. As I've got no inner arches I don't no what to do with it.
  13. Managed to get some pics of the one on my car. Spent four hours on the car yesterday and still forget to take pics but went back up today. Anyway hopefully they'll help. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  14. Three times I tried to download it, it kept saying 27 hours to download and would crash after an hour, now it's telling me there's nothing to download
  15. I'll have to wait till the weekend to take a pic of mine but it's identical to that in the pic
  16. I found this on the internet is says it's a vacuum reservoir but I still don't know what it does Thanks I'm sure if that link is working so
  17. There's a black bottle with a white pipe coming out of it on the inside of the wheel arch N/S/F. What is it, what does it do and do I need it? Thanks for any help
  18. Keep it in the garage where it's been for the past 18 months lol and keep working on it, one day it'll leave under it's own power he he
  19. Managed to get the wing fitted Saturday which turned into a mare when I dropped the 13mm socket and took me nearly half hour to find it again!!! and one of the headlights. Sunday I sprayed the stubbies ready to fit. Sorry for the poor pics but there's not alot of room in there garage lol And the wing mirrors If I get my delivery tomorrow I should have the interior in apart from the seats bolted in, I need to get the brackets for them.
  20. That's good then the amount of knowledge here is irreplaceable
  21. I was going to get it wrapped. Not the same no numbers on the side front and rear splitters kept standard and different rims. Now i'm not so sure, really don't want to be seen as just copying someone
